Overall a decent fan and it does move some air. The light is bright enough and its a nice white light from the LEDs. That said, the top end is bulky and hangs down approximately 16 from the ceiling, making it pretty darn low for an 8 ceiling. Someone 64 would hit the light with their head. There is no flush mount option the shortest down rod is 5. I would not buy again for an 8 ceiling. The remote works fine, it was packaged well and while its cool with the wooden blades, its a middle of the road Chinese made fan and not high end by any means. I personally think $189 is too pricey, but If you like the look and have 9 or taller ceilings, its a decent unit.
