It fit perfectly where out two mattress bunk bed was. It looks good. My husband who is very handy said it was a pain in the butt to assemble so that really says something. It creaks A LOT and shakes way more than my comfort level is when I try to go to the top bunk or sit on the bottom bunk. I really hope it lasts. I know my husband wouldnt allow it if he felt it was unsafe, but it just doesnt seem as sturdy to me. The metal isnt as thick as my Ikea one. And the bars to climb the ladder are really thin and cylindrical. It hurts to climb up barefoot. Our Ikea bunk bed was built like a tank and had flat rungs. Overall this think feels cheap. I mean it was very cheap to buy. I question if it could really hold 400 pounds each At least out boys are very little. But I worry if this will have to be replaced sooner than later. Only time will tell. Did not disappoint
