This bed frame/base and headboard is just what I wanted for my 4 year old grandsons first big boy bed. The rustic headboard option works well with the pirate/theme bedding etc
The base and headboard are black metal and theres square corners, but there were no jagged edges to snag bedding or get cut on.
The assembly was very easy and theres room for totes/bins underneath for toy storage. Hes going to be tall, but this twin size should work for him until adolescence. Not that he should, but its sturdy enough to handle some jumping and rough housing. Looks great.
