Really great bunk bed. Considering its under 300, you cant go wrong. Its a bit challenging to put together, simply because there are so many pieces. It took my husband and son half the day to do it. Its definitely secure enough and you can buy extra hardware to attach the legs more securely if necessary but thats really only if you think the bigger kids might try to lift the top bunk with their legs. The slats are plywood which are plenty strong but if you need heavier, these are also easily replaces with stronger boards. Im really happy with this bed. Its easily on par with much more expensive options that PB or CB offer. Best quality product
