I purchased this because our previous had been damaged during a military move. I received the by the delivery date and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the . Its short and stout, but I fit (511, 200lbs) comfortably with a little room to spare. I have an 8 month old and rocking him while nursing or bottle feeding is easy, which is great! Being taller, there really isnt anywhere to rest your head unless, like other reviewers have stated, you use a pillow. I did notice, upon placing the in my sons room, that this sits crooked, but after turning the base 90 degrees, realized half the base is lower, the other, higher. If you have the lower end toward the front of the , it leans forward a little. Placing the lower end at the back of the , leans the up and back a little. However, no matter the bases position, while gliding, it feels like when youre going backward, you also go ever/so/slightly to one side or the other. Im not sure if there is a screw I could tighten or a bar I could straighten out, like someone else had mentioned. This is also a bit noisy. I dont mind a slight click while gliding, because it often helps my little guy doze off, but this has a click and a grinding noise.
If I could do without a for even a few days, I would send this one back and buy a totally different one. Its cute, comfy and stylish, but for the price, I need something that doesnt come with a hitch or a figure/out/how/to/maneuver/the/base/so/it/rocks/smoothly plan. Im keeping this , but Im not 100 satisfied. Id say Im about 50 satisfied with this purchase. My advice; pick something else
Comfy, but noisy and slightly crooked
