Fits great not bulky and cumbersome

So far, Im quite happy with these waders. They fit great, the size was exactly what I needed. I got another set once and my size 12 feet were being smashed by the boots. I could barely stand to put those on, but these fit like a glove. Plenty of room if youre wearing thick socks in winter, but not so big they feel sloppy. Id say they were just right in the fit department. The rubber boots are thick and kind of heavy, but thats to be expected. They have a thick heavy duty sole with big cleats that will give great traction in the river mud where Im taking these. They fit nicely over the legs and the body, just enough room to be comfortable. Theyre not thick, heavy and bulky like the two different neoprene waders I have. I also have rubber hip waders, and these being chest waders dont feel any heavier than those, so thats a plus. Different situations call for different waders, so these will be a great addition. My rubber hip waders get super hot in the sun. This green color and lighter material doesnt feel like it will be smoking my legs out like those do in the summer sun. I kayak fish year round, and I think these will be great with warm clothes underneath for winter too. They have straps that go over the shoulders and easily adjust, plus a midline belt to keep them cinched to my fat belly. Being 225 lbs, it fit around my plumpness just fine. I took one star for my only complaint. The connection between the boot and the wader material felt very scratchy on my legs inside. Granted I tried them on with shorts, and I will rarely wear them like that. However, it was chewing at my calf pretty good after a few minutes. Im sure boot socks or long pants will solve that issue. Overall, Im very happy with these. The fit, the construction, and the utility are all as they should be. Theres a little pocket inside the front near your chest to hold important items. Ill be wearing a life vest with all the pockets I need, and that wont be accessible for me, but its there. The waders came with a hanger to hang them upside down so they can dry or for storage, and they also came with a flimsy bag to store them in. Ill probably hang them most of the time. I would say these are good waders, and I have five different sets just for myself, and a couple for the wife. These will likely be my go to for kayak fishing, because I often paddle to specific areas and get out to fish on muddy sand bars. The heavy duty rubber boots with big strong cleats will be very reassuring for that use because salt water river mud will put you on your behind quick. I cant wait to get them on the water. Price is very fair compared to what youll pay at academy or other places for waders. Well see how they hold up to my abuse, but so far Im pretty happy.
