Frame comes up to my knees before I put the mattress on. Its tall enough that I wont need box springs, which is what I wanted. I put it together by myself in about 30 minutes with only an Allen wrench, which was included. Im happy with this purchase.
My bed frame arrived two days before the estimated delivery, and was a snap to assemble. My partner and I took maybe 20 minutes to put it together. The instructions dont have words and werent exactly clear, but it is actually very simple to build. The only tool required was included with my package.
I appreciate the thick, rounded legs on this model which are stable, safer, and more attractive than legs with sharp corners. The s instead of wood are very sturdy and ideal for overweight folks who need a strong support. While the bed does make a little noise when moving around, its very minor and not an issue for me.
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I would recommend this bed to anyone loo for a simple frame without the need for a box/spring. I do recommend you have a good/thick mattress for this frame as the s may be uncomfortable if you have a thin mattress, but even my cheap one isnt bad with it.
We decided to get a new bed frame because our old one creaked so bad it would wake us up at night when we rolled over. The 14 frame had great reviews so when we saw the 18 come out we thought wed take a chance and order it. Its awesome! It made a few creaks the first night but hasnt since. I think it was just a matter of our mattress settling into the frame and pushing down on the support beams. Its nice and quiet which is exactly what we were hoping for.
Some of the things we were concerned about were the inside corners of the frame as they create a more w shape and we werent sure how our mattress would slide down into that or if those edges would damage the mattress but its not an issue at all. Our mattress fit perfectly inside and the w type inside corners actually help keep the mattress is place so its great.
If you have a headboard you want to attach youll notice the legs are rounded and have holes that face the inside rather than going straight to the back. After contacting the company we were told most headboards you purchase will come with a bracket that is used to attach. We havent confirmed this yet but its good to know a bracket exists to allow for a headboard to be attached. They sent me photos of how it would work so that was helpful.
We are beyond thrilled with this purchase. Ive always wanted a taller bed without needing a boxspring so this is perfect. There is enough storage underneath for suitcases or anything else you need to store.
The frame came with a few scuff marks likely from rubbing inside the box during shipping but it didnt have any dents or damage. Unless you pay a fortune for packaging and have each piece individually wrapped Im not sure how you would get around this. And its a frame, you will never see any of the scuff marks as your bed is sitting on top of it. The legs didnt have any scuff marks and the rounded edges look great.
We definitely recommend this frame and will very likely buy other sizes for the beds in our other rooms. The quiet non crea feature is awesome!
