I absolutely love these chairs. They are very easy to assemble, four screws using the Allen key provided and that is it. They are very sturdy, it holds my husband whos 18st no problem, not even a slight sway. The wide seat area is very comfortable to sit on. The top is made of wood and it is very easy to maintain using a wet cloth. I think they look great too for any kitchen islands.
Firstly Id like to point out that I was initially going to give 4 stars however after seeing the current list price, I have to admit if Id paid that much for these stools I wouldnt be feeling as chirpy about them.
I do love the overall look design - they look nice and modern in our monochrome kitchen. The adjustment is excellent allowing the height to be changed for whoever is seated and the hydraulics work very well so far, they almost give you a little push up and off when getting off. And they feel nice and sturdy, a lot sturdier than our previous.
However, like a lot of reviewers appear to have, the wood tops do have a fair few scratches yes I know, wood is never a perfect material but it does let the overall quality down as they appear a little used before youve even had a chance to sit on them. Natural blemishes from the wood I can understand but deep scratches just feels like a big of a rushed finished.
And because there isnt any padding they are a little too hard for me although that is to be expected with wood tops, perfectly fine for a breakfast bar area though where you wont be spending hours and hours.
Overall they look good feel durable with a couple of compromises on the final finish. If the wood tops came unscathed I think I wouldve been closer to 4-4.5 stars but for this price I think the finish on the product should be to match that price tag. Granted theyre not break the bank money but Ive had ￡30 stools with less issues.
This is a decent, and decent-looking, pair of bar stools. The stools have simple, circular seats – with fairly deep wooden tops on thick plastic lowers. Assembly is pretty straightforward, as there are only 8 pieces to each stool: 4 main body sections, and 4 screws. The allen key needed to affix the screws to the underside of each seat top is included.
The stools are pretty good, but not exemplary. The gas lifts move easily and effectively, and the stools themselves feel quite nice and sturdy – with sturdy metal bases and quite solid plastic/wooden tops. However the wooden surfaces for both of the stools I received had significant numbers of scrapes and scratches on them. The scratches had been incurred after the wood was stained, as they had gone through the surface and showed up as lighter than the surrounding areas. This is quite poor in furniture where the wood is a feature point. The wood is wide-grained and quite textured with a little roughness and small cracks apparent in some places on the surfaces. Not awful, by any means, but not ideal.
Im debating between sanding these down a little and re-treating the surfaces; or just giving them a good polish on the basis that theyre likely to mark quite easily, but a lightly tinted polishing wax will even out the colour of the marks and should help to condition wood that seems really quite dry.

The stools arrived as a pair set of two in a big box, The stool came in three main pieces the base, the middle tube and the top , the wooden seat that is . very clear and easy instruction sheet was included i was able to make a stool in less than 4 minutes . The height is easily adjusted to desired height using the lever under the seat. i love these stools and i thought as they are so flat and hard they wouldnt be comfortable but they are ! love love love everything about these stools.
These stools are superb quality. They come disassembled, when I opened the box at first, I thought Oh no I have to put them all together I soon discovered it takes literally less than 10 minutes to do both. All I had to do was screw four screws in using the supplied Alan key, then slot the other bits together. The stools are extremely comfortable, Ive had padded stools that were no where near as nice to sit on. The adjustment is hydraulic but strongly positive. The footrest is perfectly positioned, I love how smooth they rotate, I cant help but behave like a child and spin lol. They are extremely sturdy, Im not a light weight but have no worries about the build quality of these. Height adjustment has a great range, Im 5 foot 5 and my partner is 6 foot three and we are both comfortable. There not just functional, they look fantastic, you can really see the quality in these.

These are nice little stools which are surprisingly comfortable even through youre sitting on a slab of rough wood. You do have to put them together but this takes minutes using the four screws and hex-key to fit the seat on the frame/stand.
The base plate is about 400 in diameter and made of a good strong metal. The extendable stand is made of the same tough quality metal. The seat is about 360mm in diameter and is made of wood, with a rough finish with, in this case, a few scratch marks on both seats which are clearly visible.
The height of the seat goes from about 580mm up to a good 800mm and it spins 360 degrees, so be careful when youre getting on it.
The foot rest is about 400mm down from the seat and is a good length to be able to rest your foot on it without having to be a contortionist. Personally, its a great height for when Im playing guitar, which is remarkably comfortable.
In all, these are well made and will fit in most kitchen. These might be advertised as breakfast/bar stools but, for me, they double up as a guitar stool and even a little table to rest my cup on I just have to remember that it spins.
Note. Id have given these stools a full 5 stars but for the marks on the wooden seats. This could be a one off but do check the wooden seats before you put them together.
These pair of stools arrived in a loose large cardboard box. They were easy to put together and they generally look nice! You can smoothly adjust the height as you desire. And the seat swivels 360 degrees. The swivel move is also smooth.
Cons:
The wooden surface of both stools had extensive deep scratches. The scratches are so bad that I cant really use these stools as they look terrible! This is such a disappointment. These stools are expensive and because of the extensive damage they are not worth buying!
Looking at other reviewers comments and photos it seems the damage to the wooden surface is a general characteristic of these stools!
In conclusion, I absolutely warn you from buying these stools! I do NOT recommend them. I generously bgive it 3 stars!
First thoughts:
I saw these and thought theyd make stylish home studio stools for Vlogging interviews.
Theres only 4 parts to build each stool and all tools are included. Clear and concise instructions are provided on a sheet of paper and theres diagrams too.
We were watching TV while building them and it still took less than 3 minutes as everything just slots together apart from the seat which requires bolting on.
The matt powder coat black paint looks clean and stylish although it does pick up fingerprints easily if theres any oil on the skin. The natural wood top is fresh looking and has a textured surface (it is not sanded level) which is a bit more interesting.
There are no seat backs or cushioning so I wouldnt expect to spend an evening sitting on them, but for short periods and sitting in front of the camera theyre great.
Detail and things to note (See pictures):
4 part stool consisting of the seat, base, lift lever/footrest section and the gas lift rod section. 3 parts slot together without any screws and finally the seat connects to the top with 4 fixings. Everything you need is in a little bag tied to the foot rest.
The base has a rubber ring on the bottom to prevent damage to hard floors.
The gas lift system is smooth with an inch or so bounce for absorption/comfort so its not a solid shock if you sit down fast.
The seat and footrest once connected to each other can rotate 360 degrees.
Easy to adjust the height with the lift handle. The movement is incredibly smooth.
Final thoughts:
Decoration of the home studio is nearing completion and these make a nice addition to the studio furniture and will match the finished colour scheme. Im an athletic 17.5 stone and the stools dont feel flimsy under my weight.
I really like them and would recommend them for kitchens, hobby rooms or anywhere that requires moving around with an occasional resting spot. If you plan to be seated for hours then you might have to consider padding or a cushion.
