    Pleased

Nice loo and well made for price. Drawers are more spacious than anticipated. Could use some poly to protect finish. Already a couple scratches while just being assembled.

    Under construction

Just started assembly and so far its going together OK. No problem for those with basic assembly skills. Be careful, take your time. Dont cross thread or over torque anything. Recommend NOT to use a power screwdriver. This not a job for those with bad knees since most of the assembly is on the floor. One thing I think is kinda dumb is dropping in the JRN nuts into the inner gables and stabilizers on step 4 and 5. They fall right through! So whats the point of doing that now? Best wait until the those parts actually get installed to slide in those JRNs. Also the cams you insert into the drawer sides as per step 11 will fall right out. But they install and twist lock in place easily with the drawer front in step 11d. The slats will not move around after assembly if you pinch the U channels between the slats with pliers. Or wrap the ends of the slats with 1 wide strips of duct tape. Make sure you have at least 1 10 between the side of the bed and the wall. Otherwise you can not get the assembled drawers installed. Sliding the assembled bed in final position must be done with care, moving just a little at a time. Get some help if available. You want to keep the corners square. And yes small corner braces are recommended. You might consider casters as well. Keep in mind, if you have nightstands, you may not be able to open the drawers next to them. Have decided on a 10 gel infused memory foam mattress such as the Olee one as sold here on . Will probably reinforce as per earlier reviewer and update this review after final assembly. update After installing the suggested felt tape and angle brackets, we are now sleeping our new bed for the first time. Decided to go with a 10 gel memory foam mattress made right here in Michigan. Got a better deal on it from Sams Club. Wife is snoring away. Jury will be out for a while as I am accustomed to a water bed since 1978. Already find I am reaching for the heater control thats not there. So well see how it goes. I did order the bookcase headboard which should be here soon. I believe that is used in lieu of the nightstands which do block two drawers.

However very easy directions, well made and has immense storage capacity

The drawers had to be re/inforced with secondary screws and glue. However very easy directions, well made and has immense storage capacity!

    Well worth the money.

I love this platform! I put it together myself in a couple of hours. I laughed when I saw the directions had approximate time next to each step. My first thought wasbite me. The directions were pretty clear, but I would make one small change. You have these little connectors that you are supposed toinsert in the holes provided when you begin assembling sides and drawer hangers for the frame and then proceed to the other steps. Save yourself some aggravation and dont bother. They are loose in the openings and fall out every time you move the piece to its next position. Just wait until you have to actually use that connector, then insert it. It will save you chasing the dang things around the room. Once its assembled, its very solid. The only negative is the slats under the mattress. I would have wished they were held in place a little better instead of being so movable. I have a memory foam mattress on top and getting it on there by myself and having to readjust the slats was more work than putting the thing together!

Good value for the moneyI like this bed.

This is a good bed and assembly is not too tough. Unless you are the Hulk it will take two persons to move the boxes from the delivery point (front door) to the assembly point (bedroom). It is important to read the review by Matthew C. Ziegler on July 4, 2010. His comments kept me from heartache, especially buying shorter screws than those sent with the unit. On the down side, only two boxes of the three arrived first. The third came two days later. One of the boxes that arrived first contained the drawers so I assembled them first. Please keep in mind that the drawer sides and back are made of soft wood. My specific recommendations are this: 1. I would suggest inserting the cams for the drawer fronts from the outside rather than from the inside as the diagram shows. You can do one as a trial. Insert the cam from the inside and look at how the drawer will look when pulled out. 2. Be careful when attaching the drawer rails to the two interior support. The holes in the supports are for rails on both sides. I screwed one rail in too far and it prevented the rail on the other side from being attached sufficiently. I had to drill an additional hole to attached the rail completely. 3. Once the frame and supports are assembled (but before the slats are applied), put the drawers in and ensure that the rails stay in the tracks when open and closed. If they do not it could mean that the frame is out of alignment. You can move/adjust the frame slightly to address this. 4. I used a roll of rubber door/window insulation in the rail opening for the bed slats. This will keep the slats from rattling back and forth. 5. Since the slats are not finished and a mattress will sit on them I used the plastic from the new mattress I purchased as a liner between the slats and the mattress. On to customer service. I would rate it as wonderful. When my drawer rail came out of the support I needed an additional rail support and screws. I called customer support. They sent me the needed parts in due order and I completed the job. The assembly took five days in total to complete (I was interrupted by episodes of Scorpion and The Big Bang Theory). Continuous time is approximately 4/5 hours. All in all, if you follow the advice of Mr. Ziegler and the comments above you will have a sturdy enjoyable bed.

    Love this bed frame.

I normally do not post any product reviews, We live in a fairly small house, and the bedroom is pretty cramped, so upon seeing this bed with storage it was a no brainier and i ordered it without even thin about reading the reviews, After i had placed the order, i read the reviews and was worried i had perhaps made a mistake due to a lot of poor reviews. i almost cancelled the order but decidedcant be that bad it took about a week to arrive, it came in 4 rather big and bulky boxes, (one i had to open out on the deck) as i could not get a grip on it to get it in to the house myself. i was not worried about getting any instructions as i normally just toss them to the side anyways, and i have had plenty of IKEA furniture, so assembly should be a no brainier as long as you take the time to check the alignment of the holes, but i will say it came with instructions, and everything was packed i heavy duty boxes, and foam to fill up all the gaps, (one of the boxes had a dent on the corner, but i assume that was from shipping/transport) but nothing inside the box had been damaged. Now as far as the parts, there is A LOT, a lot more than i expected, each drawer along with the rails, uses a total of 28 screws, 4 nails and 2 lock nuts. times 12 drawers, so that alone took longer than the suggested 1/2 hour total assembly time. but i took my time, being careful not to force anything, or strip screw holes, since particle board tends to strip easy. after about 5.5 hours i had it assembled to get the mattress in place. with all that said, i love this bed, it is not solid oak or something super high quality wood, but for the price, storage and overall quality, it is by far worth it. it is TALL, with a 15 inch mattress, the top of the mattress is at my waist, so i have to do a bit of a jump to get up to it, (im 5.10) plenty of slats to accommodate a memory foam mattress, if i have any negative to say at all, i might be on the drawers, the bottoms are very thin, so i dont expect it to hold any great weights, but i did assemble them as they should to give them a shot, and should they not be enough i will just replace the bottoms with some 3/4 material. but so far it holds up to all the things we use them for, (clothing and such) just make sure to put some time aside if you order this bed it does take some time to get it all together, but once assembled it is worth it. i have not had the bed for very long, but should my opinion change, i will put an update on here.
