The frame is very sturdy and its a snap to assemble.
HOWEVER, the slats are too far apart to properly support a mattress without a box spring. Also, the slats are made of plywood, not solid wood. The cheap quality of those slats, combined with the excessive spacing, resulted in me snapping three of the slats already.
The company promptly sent me a bundle of replacement slats after I broke the first one, which is nice. But the slats kept cracking and breaking.
I had to go to Home Depot and buy some ultra/thin plywood and cut it into two sheets of the proper size to lay on top of the slats to solve the problem. Huge hassle.
I wouldnt by this product again unless the company makes substantial design changes // more slats with less spacing, and slats made of solid wood, not plywood.
The instructions were a challenge but in fairnessmost instructions are poorly written and these were that!! I will say the product itself seems to be very well made and worth the head scratching and cursing one goes through putting it together. My mattress is on back order so the final proof is in how it holds the mattress but the slats are sturdy and i am expecting this frame will hold up very well. Kids love it easy to put together.
Super easy to assemble. Took me about 10 minutes. Beautiful real wood and sturdier than any other bed Ive owned. I actually purchased a Thuma bed for 850 and ended up returning it because there was no way to attach a headboard. This is a fraction of the price, just as sturdy and aesthetic, and couldnt be happier. Came packed very well and the wood was in perfect condition. Perfect.
Super easy to assemble, one person can do it. Outside pieces look to be solid pieces of wood, everything else looks like several pieces of thin wood or fiber board glued together. We are using box springs and a memory foam mattress right now. We have slept on it 3 nights so far and getting on and off the bed and tossing and turning at night/no squeaking, but any kind of other movement and there is plenty of squeaking, unfortunately.
Also, the hooks literally just sit in the groove part and easily comes apart. There is no locking mechanism, so dont forget that and grab the side board to move it or everything will fall apart just like that.
Color is nice, there is about 8 of available space under the bed so the cat can hide under it, but not much clearance for storage bins.

The reality is you probably wont find a matching finish outside of WE but this one was complementary. Its not a true red cherry but its also not acorn its more brown brown. The photos are professional and capture the difference in color of stain.also something to consider if you wanted it more dark/red you can stain it yourself.doesnt seem to have a shiny protectant on it and it is a solid wood headboard.
The only thing I do highly recommend MEASURE your mattress. Mine is I want to say 16in and as you can see.there is not a lot of clearance and the headboard is as high as it goes.if you want a tall headboard this will not meet your expectations Love it!

Great quality WOOD frame
Easy to set up. Great quality WOOD frame, it was somewhat out of alignment but after it was together it wasnt noticeable. I would recommend.
