Easy to put together, but definitely need at least 2 people. So far loving the bed! We are on the heavier side and it is very sturdy. We chose this bed for the middle support it has. Just wish could get a more solid headboard instead of the bars.
A lot of assumptions are made in the manufacturing of this item, and tolerances are so tight that any burr or warp in the metal will cause you problems during assembly.
Chunks of powdercoating flaked off while shoving the headboard pieces in to the vertical posts. Several of the lock washers exploded, something Ive never seen but must be made of some not very durable metal. The metal will indent if you overtighten due to how thin it is.
The process of putting together this queen frame took about twice as long as a fancier king frame from another manufacturer did just days prior, and Id say the king is far more confidence inspiring than this one. Last point/suggestion, the legs will scratch your floor. Put down a rug or put felt slider stickers on the legs. Perhaps a better idea would be to use rubbery stay-put stickers instead of sliders. 3M makes a product like this that I discovered after I put felt sliders on. Thankfully this is just a guest bed.
I liked the bed, good material, it is strong, I say this because it weighs 240 and really, its material is strong, easy to assemble, yes, you still have to get carried away by its instructions and it takes some time, but I can say that it took me a long time to assemble it because there were parts that if you are not aware and look and go calmly you can get a little confused but the truth is I recommend it
This bed is easy to assemble and worth the money! I assembled this bed by myself; however, it would be easier with two people. This bed is stylish and worth the price if you looking for something affordable. Its sturdy and well made.
I can only talk about assemble so far guests dont visit till later..
1. I am not a gym rat, mid 40s and totally dragged box into house by myself. its 27 ish pounds.. according to box
2. yes made in china, yes metal and the end caps are plastic but meh.. this is going to guest room...
3. I took and unwrapped EVERYTHING first laid it all out... then assembled... took about 90 minutes mostly cause I am stubborn and did it by myself.. (used a chair to balance things) would have been easier with two.... do not tighten everything until end.. the slats you will need to pop in forcefully
I went back next day just to check everything , make sure I didnt miss tightening just in case.. all the under the boxes fit and my carry-on suitcase fit with some clearance...
