After reading someone elses review I did purchase a new hook at home depot. The one that comes with the chair does look rather thin and I doubt it would hold the advertised 500 pounds!
Satisfied. This is nice. We built up hammock stands in the backyard and we wanted a traditional hammock and then a side with the seats. When this came in a small box I was wonde how they fit the pole in it.
But that came in three parts and snapped together well. The rope is a tight tight fit around and they nobs keep it in place. Everything is in tact and it held me up no issues. Im happy with the hammock chair. And they offer life warranty with it. So thats cool
Edit update. So I had two one was wood pile one the metal, I personally like the metal more. It has a larger washer to prevent the ropes from slipping, where as the wood one doesnt and we had them slip out of place and fall. But this metal one with the washer is great. I plan on getting more to finish the pergola hammock seat.

Absolutely recommend! We dont have enough trees in our yard to support a hammock, so I was so excited to stumble across this hammock chair as an alternative. My kids love it so much I might have to buy more! Set up was easy and the hanging strap allowed us to adjust to the right height. The orange color is also just vibrant enough to add a pop of color to our backyard.
Arrived early! I have used a rope swinging chair in the past, and this is way more comfortable. I also like that it was very easy to assemble, and comes with a strap and carry bag. The next time I go camping I just need to find a sturdy tree, and Ill have a comfy perch.

Simple and does the job. This is great! Even had a inside pocket for a book or a phone. I love how it breaks down for small storage in the winter!
