Great investment! I purchased this bed for my granddaughter when she comes over and I need the the underside for storage space! It was easy to assemble and I only needed an extra set of hands for about five minutes other than that its a one person job. I would recommend a power screwdriver or drill to make the job faster. The elapsed time from when I opened the box until I put the mattress on top was about an 1hr and a half or so. Its sturdy and attractive. The only reason it doesnt have 5 stars is because of the smell of the stain/finish on the wood. Its not pleasant but has seemed to air out over the last few weeks. Price vs quality if excellent!
Good deal SHE LOVES THIS LOFT BED! Shes 17 and 55 and she has plenty of room on top and under the bed to study and be on her laptop. This made more space in her room. It wasnt too high up neither, no worries of her touching the ceiling.
This is a very sturdy loft bed, my child absolutely loves it. It holds my two teenagers and does not move around. The weight limit is 500 lbs. I would recommend this loft bed to anyone. Im considering purchasing another, I do thing that $400 is a little bit expensive but it is nice, sturdy, and holds a lot of weight. Anyone that purchases this product would be happy.
Pros: 1) Our young daughter loves the bed. 2) Thus far it seems to be a good quality and sturdy. My 5 year old daughter and I lay in it to read books at night. 3) I love that it allows for more play space in her small bedroom.
Cons: 1) Putting sheets on the bed is painstaking! I wish they would have made it a couple inches wider like they did on the length since that would make changing sheets a lot easier. As another reviewer mentioned, size down on your comforter/heavier blanket since you wont be able to tuck it down into the sides. Again, I struggle just being able to tuck down the fitted and then flat sheet. 2) As an adult it is not the easiest to get in and out of...but the ladder/bed is meant for a child so it is perfect for them.
To Be Mentioned: You need two people to put this bed together. I am guessing it took us an hour or two to do it.
This is a solid piece of furniture and we are pleased at the real wood used in the product. My daughter loves the bed. She is 56 so there isnt quite enough room underneath for her to sit up fully, but shes created a lounge area with pillows and twinkle lights. We combined this bed with short dressers, which we put under the base, to create more storage in a small room. Feels like this bed will last a LONG time.
A word of caution, this product will take you a long time to build. Our can of three took over 3 hours. Its not difficult by any means, just time consuming. It comes in a large flat-pack box so each part (headboard, footboard, ladder, etc) is assembled from singular pieces. So, dont start building it at 7 pm.like we did, and expect to finish by bedtime.
The price seemed a little high but now that i see is a real wood item, I think its reasonable for the cost. We wanted to use my daughters existing mattress. If your mattress is too tall/full, you wont get the guard-rail effect on the side.
Overall, shes happy, and we like the product.
Sturdy. Fairly easy to assemble. Definitely not a one person job for me. My son loves it. The stairs are wide enough not to hurt the feet as he goes up and down.
Wish it was just two inches more of underbed area but it will do. The wooden beam under bed has sharp edges so I will have to cover them because my little one will end up hitting his head. But it is an easy fix.
Biggest problem, it is missing one screw labeled D.
Perfect for what we needed Loved this bed for the added under storage/play area. It was easy for me to set up alone with minimal assistance. Pay attention to your long rails!! Only one side has the screw for ladder side.
Pretty and inexpensive I put this bed together (full size) by myself with a power drill in about 4 hours. Im sure itd be easier/faster with a partner but dont let those reviewers let you think its impossible to do alone!
The bed is GOOD. It smelled like pine polish for probably a week. It was an over powering smell for sure!
He is 7, 4 65 pounds. I am 511,270. I am comfortable climbing in and out although my hips dont fit through the ladder opening, I go over it. We have a 10 memory foam mattress that inflated to about 9 and its perfect. I dont feel the slats through the mattress and they are very sturdy!
The height is pretty good although you wouldnt be able to fit anything taller than a mainstays 3 tier bookshelf underneath (I was hoping to fit a dresser!)
All in all, this was exactly what I was looking for, he wanted a bigger bed but neither of us wanted to sacrifice play space in his small room!
I recommend this bed to anyone with a small room for sure, even a grown up honestly I want it, wish it came in a queen size!
Edit 5/17/21:
Bed is starting to wiggle. When climbing in. Could just need to be tightened. Still working for kiddo but Im not trying to break it on him! Would re-rate 6/10.

Good solid product, takes some time to build

The pine smell was bad. Worth the investment!
