When I was on the hunt for an office chair, I stumbled across this one and decided to give it a go, as it was from Basics. I have trusted the brand from USB cables to other everyday products. This is the most expensive product I have bought from Basics, and compared to other office chairs, this is especially a good deal, even better if you have Prime membership. I have owned an executive chair for my home office, and compared to this office chair, my old executive felt like I bought it from a one dollar store. This new chair has more more cushion and support than my old chair, and has a softer texture than what the pictures suggest. Unfortunately for this price, there had to be some compromises. The first one is that there is not a good ratio for the bottom and top cushions. The bottom cushion sticks out by about 3 inches from the end of the armrest, which makes the top portion hard to dig into, as it cant tilt already. Also, this is more situated to a home office rather than an actual office, as it takes more force than other chairs to move because of the size itself. Also, the height adjustment is very silly, as you need to do some moving to get to the desired height you want to be at. Also, dont expect this chair to be tall, as it is about 4 inches shorter than my older executive chair that I dont use anymore. Also, my old executive chair was not from Basics, so the executive chair Basics makes should be on the top of your home office or office supply list if you are tall and need a taller chair. Other than that, this office chair gives more comfort and support for less, as this kind of quality would not be seen on a lot of executive office chairs that cost over $200. Although this chair has a few trade-offs, overall, if you are on a budget, this chair is the way to go.
This is a wide comfortable chair. It was easy to put together. The down fall is I am missing 2 screws in my order. It is simple enough to pick some up at the hardware store. I wish it came up higher. When sitting on it, it comes up 19 inches. I like the 5 legs. I feel very sturdy. I do suggest not tightening the bolts when putting the chair on the sides of the chair until you have the back on. This will put less tension on the arms to prevent breakage.
I received my chair sooner than expected, A+ was easy to assemble. I do a lot of arts crafts at home so this chair makes me feel comfortable and my back doesnt hurt anymore after sitting for long hours. It is good looking,it looks durable time will tell, so far I am happy with this product and the price was good.
I just put it together. Easily assembled. And im kinda of a bigger person bout 6ft 245 pounds. Its pretty comfortable and a perfect chair for using at a desk or simply relaxing while watchin tv. Only reason its not 5 stars is because i literally just sat in it and havent gotten to see how it is overtime.
This is a plain comfortable chair for people around 5 ft 5 or less. Affordable. Easy assembly. In under 30 minutes my 13 year daughter put the entire chair together by herself. If you need head support this chair is not for you. The chair stops around the scapulae. Not a soft leather. Received in 2 days.
For the price, this chair is damn comfortable, as well as ergonomic. The build was simple and easy to follow, thanks to the proprietary instruction booklet, and it feels relatively sturdy. Slight wobble on the armrests, but that is to be expected with the polymer, side-mounted types.
