We bought this for our toddler, but it easily holds the 3 of us, plus Im in my 3rd trimester! It comes with tools but an electric drill makes the work much easier. Overall, we are very happy with the purchase and it looks great in our sons room
I have a cal king mattress and bought the king frame, but it seems this frame is more suited for an Eastern king mattress. The slats splinter when you insert them into the plastic holders, but over all it seems to be holding up which is more than I can ask for considering the price.
I had my kids dad, myself, and my daughter all sitting on the bed to watch a movie and we didnt experience any problems.
Make sure to place the frame upside down when assembling to prevent unscrewing and rescrewing pieces together.

Center cross bars werent cut correctly and couldnt slide together flush like the instructions show, luckily we have a grinder and were able to cut them to size. - the headboard /pillow bars are covered more than half by my 12 mattress so the slip over pillows are barely hanging on, but I have it against the wall so they stay on fine. -the legs at the end of the frame are slanted and are sharp enough to cause some serious toe damage, I wrapped foam and electrical tape around them.
Overall, its actually a well made frame, sturdy, level, easy to assemble, and I love the deep blue color. Pillows are nice as well.

It arrives in a small heavy box. Easy instructions, after you realize the first two steps picture, the bed must be upside down. I am a petite woman who assembled it alone in an hour.
It doesnt take up too much space, perfect for my room.
