I first ordered this desk in the dark brown color - not only did I not like the color, but the real problem was, there were missing holes on the bars underneath, so I couldn’t install the keyboard tray. That sucked. I had to disassemble and return.
I got the white one instead, and I am happy with it. It’s perfect size for my studio apartment. The keyboard tray does not stay out tho, when I pull it out, it slides back in on its own.
EDIT: after about a month the keyboard tray completely fell off. Luckily I found a different way to reinstall it but, still, I’ve changed my mind on the quality. I’ll be upgrading to a nicer desk as soon as possible.
This desk exceeded my expectations upon ordering it. My dad and I recently built a music studio, and its the perfect desk for starting up and getting a more professional and efficient workspace.
The setup took my friend and I about an hour (recommend using a power drill for the screws, there are a lot of them). The quality of the wood and other pieces is fantastic.
The desk is a bit larger than I expected, which is great. Theres lots of space for monitors, mixing boards, racks, etc. The slide-able keyboard portion of the desk is one of my favorite aspects. My Axiom Air-49 fits comfortably in it.
I highly recommend this purchase for producers/musicians looking to step up their desk game!
Note: When CEVA shipping confirms your order has a arrived to be shipped directly to you, make sure you call them to schedule an appointment. I called and was able to pick it up directly from the warehouse, which saved some time on shipping.
Overall I am happy with this desk. I got the white model. The PVC veneer looks really sharp. I also appreciate the MDF instead of the cheap particle board my last one had. The frame is sturdy and easy to assemble. Perfect size for studio corner of my home office.
There is a negative: I dock a star (more like a half star) because of the awful casters. Not overstating that they are the worst I have ever seen. Also, there was a little bend in the cable tray but thats probably because of the way FedEx handled the package.
This is one great desk for the money. I have a second studio, and I paid twice as much for the desk there, that I did for this one. Not only that, I had send a builder, and he was awesome. The desk looks great, its built nicely, and has a nice work area. I am beyond pleased, and will probably buy another.
So I read the reviews before purchasing and a lot of people said the keyboard tray was too low, they banged their legs, etc etc. This is true. Its all true. But I knew beforehand so it wasnt like Oh my, this is too low! I knew it and I wish it was not that low and so on and blah blah blah.
My ten year old basically put the thing together so I dont want to hear adults talk about difficulty. Hes ten. Dont make me shame you. The two main pieces are heavy, like black hole so dense even light cannot escape heavy, so I helped him with lifting. But that was it.
Its a big old mama. I had a very compact desk before, so sitting at this is like sitting at a window, gazing out at the vast meadowlands of rural South Dakota, only no worries about being gored or trampled by a bison, which is nice. You ever been up close with a bison? Theyre big. Anyway, the desk is big, too, and I have room for all the junk that shouldnt be on a recording desk in the first place.
It seems sturdy enough. Im not climbing up and standing on it or anything and if you are, well, you deserve whatever happens to you. But it holds my two computer monitors, my KRKs, some notebooks, a naked photo of my GF from high school, lots of guitar debris, martinis, etc.
All in all, very pleased with this desk. Yeah, I know, the keyboard tray height, but Im not going to join a bunch of whiners. Im a manly man! I dont care if I bump my knees! Im living on the edge!
I was using the Output Platform desk but I found it to large for my current living situation so I decided on a smaller desk. I read the reviews on the ease of setting this up and I actually loved the color of the yellow one as it is pretty unique. When the desk arrived, it was very easy to put together. I had no problem getting it set up and it works and functions great. Very happy with this desk.
You literally will not find another studio desk with these features at this good of a price. Plus, I got $150 off by signing up for the Chase Visa card. This thing is built like a tank and, for my purposes, I will never need another studio desk for home recording, composing, or voiceover work as long as I live.
This thing aint modest and it aint no wimp! Underneath the desk I have a 2x12 Mesa Boogie combo and some rack gear and I could probably store a stack of 45 lb plates without worrying about damaging it.
The instructions are simple enough to follow, however they did not mention there is a difference in the main supports; two are designed to attach a crossbar. I found that out the hard way.
This desk was perfect for music producers who are looking for a small form factor desk that fits in bedrooms. The rear side of the desk has cable management carriage and hole to use zip ties. This has eliminated the clutter of cables I had before. The top is a carbon fiber like finish that I wasn’t expecting and makes the desk look fantastic. The pull tray fits 61key midi boards with about an inch to spare on each side. The roll wheels are great for times you need to adjust thing.

Had to order a second one- but it’s decent

If not for the casters...

Bummer.
Wobbly. Damaged parts. No response from manufacturer after reaching out through their customer service portal.
