Some Chinese Engineer did a great job of designing a way for a large couch to all fit in a small box. Assembly took me about 3 hours but a younger more agile person would undoubtedly do it in less time. Instruction sheet is clear and simple to follow but Im old and creeky so was a bit hard to move it around while assembling. While included tools are adequate to do the assembly I found it lots easier to use a deep 1/2 ratchet socket wrench for the arm assembly and a hex bit on a screw drive to start the feet. Couch looks good and am totally pleased with result.
Ok a real an honest review. The futon looks great very art deco. I got the navy color in the linen fabric. Its not the most comfortable it could use more foam. Assembly was super easy its a very simple design A+in that area. Construction is on the cheap side. The screws in the hinges that hold the two halves together were you bolt the middle legs onto were just ran in with a drill and not all of them are straight so the head of the screw messes with the middle legs sitting flush up against the hinge. Also the holes in the hinges for the screws are not countersunk and the screw heads are fluted made for countersunk holes so they sit flush with the hinge. Its not a huge deal no one will see it but you have to put the middle legs in there so you as the consumer sees how its made and it just made me feel a little bad about the craftsmanship it wouldnt have taken long to use a countersink drill bit on these holes theres only 8 holes. One other negative is the middle legs, thier made of plastic while the outside legs are wood so they dont match. All the stitching is good. The legs in the back of the top cushions for when its folded out as a futon are SUPER cheap its a plastic tube with a cap thats not glued on and it doesnt lock into position so be careful and make sure the legs are pulled out to a perfect 90 to the floor if not and you sit on that side it could tip. I like the multiple sitting positions. Its very light weight and easy to carry. Im 6ft 300lbs and I can lay down on this fine with space any taller than that though it might be to short to lay down on comfortably. Even with the negitives I have pointed out there not deal breakers and for the price the futon is a great bargain I love it I would buy it again.
Overall, it is what I expected from reviews. It was super easy to assemble and get get in the house and I am very small and had no problems, so I wouldnt worry about needing someone else. Instructions were clear and I had every piece needed, also came a week early. Only two things that are bad is the comfort and security. The regular part feels like youre sitting on cardboard and is kind of short, the sectional side is a little better, you kind of sink in. I think with pillows and blankets, it would be okay. 2nd thing is the pieces are only held together by 2 screws so you have to be careful moving it. Im not too worried about the legs or anything falling in, but well see! Overall what you can expect from a 450~ sectional
The look is very modern. Enough space for 3 people to sit on comfortably. Not enough cushion for luxurious seating. Its comfortable to sit though. Not sturdy back support for a person sitting in the middle.
I love everything about this futon EXEPT the plastic support legs in the middle of the futon. The 4 outside legs are all wood so the grey plastic ones in the middle really stick out. I emailed customer service about getting wood middle supports but they responded that was not an option. It would make the futon a lot more appealing in the room to have all matching leg supports.
This is a great small sofa with a lot of style. I ordered the green linen and it was true to sample and looks good. The issue is using this as a bed. It is not comfortable for sleeping. The futon tips if you roll too far to the unsupported side. Theres is also an frame piece that seems to run down the middle. You will need a thick foam pad. I tried a feather bed and it wasnt enough. I am 510 and did fit ok length wise. Better as a studio sofa and maybe a drunk guest.
The product is very close to the ground (thats on me for not checking the dimensions other than how long it was. For the price it is really nice and it will serve its purpose for now but will probably replace in the future for something a little easier to get on and off of and a little more comfortable.

The light blue is more of a blue/teal color definitely not light blue
