I bought two of these daybeds for my grandchildrens bedroom in our house. They are very cute. The trundle beds move very easily underneath the beds and lock in place. There are a lot of parts to put together but the directions are excellent.
It seemed hard to put together, but once we started, it only took my sister and I like 1 hour to finish, it was pretty easy. Even though it comes with hardware, I recommend you use a drill, it makes the work way easier and faster.
The result was beautiful, perfect for a little room like ours
Very happy with the quality of this bed for the price! But, boy, it was a bear to put together. I am the friend that everyone calls when they need help putting things together but, this was not easy. A lot of parts!
With that said, it is a very sturdy, good quality bed.
Building the bed: this was a bit more challenging and took more time than advertised, but instructions were clear and the result was great!
The under/bed storage is a fantastic feature.
We have laughed often since using this guest bed: the smiling woman in the demo video single/handedly (literally) pulls out the drawers and flips the mattresses to set up the bed. Easy/breezy. In our experience, this is a two/person task that includes a lot of grunting.
The bed is quite attractive as a daybed/couch in our guest room as well.
We are very happy with this bed. The instructions were a little confusing at times while assembling, so we had to redo a couple of steps. One of the pieces came cracked, but my husband was able to fix with some gorilla glue and a clamp.
Everything is real wood except the bottom piece on the drawers.
Every single piece of wood (besides the slats which are obvious to identify) had a number sticker that matched instructions. All holes were pre/drilled on the top piece, although some (like the slats) didnt have a hole on the lower piece. Pieces are also secured with wooden pegs and everything feels pretty sturdy once assembled. Assembly was straight/forward and possible to do alone, with the only difficult part being balancing the bed rails to attach the head and foot boards.
I split a piece in assembly. I emailed the company directly (not thru ) Sat evening, but repaired it since I wasnt expecting a resolution soon. They replied on Sunday and recommended a replacement piece even though I said I thought the repair would hold. They shipped me the new piece on Mon or Tues.
The slats ought to be a cm longer or the rails they rest on be a bit wider. I didnt like screwing them in so close to the edge.
We bought this despite being not quite the right color, due to the price, real wood, and good reviews. I think it was a great value, even considering I added a couple of light coats of paint.
