Out of the box its pretty easy to unfold it into its various configurations. It was VERY firm to sleep on directly / probably not comfortable as/is / but we bought a single (twin) memory foam topper, which made it very comfortable. Opened to a flat bed configuration, its just a tiny bit smaller than a regular twin bed an adult fits comfortably, although a tall person might not fit. Fitted sheet fits well (especially with the addition on the topper). Top sheet and blanket were a little long at the bottom, so we put clips on the end corners and bungeed the clips underneath to ensure our guest didnt get tangled up in them if getting up in the middle of the night. (Because of the design, there is no ability to tuck the bottom of the top sheet and blanket, but the clip and bungee thing worked!) Also, there was an issue with keeping the leg at the head of the bed from collapsing with movement of the bed. We overcame this problem with a metal rod (or wood would also work), which fit tightly between the leg for the head of the bed and the ottoman leg to prevent any chance of collapse. We purchased this because we wanted the capability of allowing a friend to sleep over, should the need arise, but wanted to use a very small guest room as a craft room and didnt want to fill the room with a standard twin bed which might only be used once or twice a year. With the added topper and the security rod, the ottoman/bed fits the bill. Its easy to convert from ottoman to lounge seat to bed and back with easy/to/follow directions. Once we did it a couple of times, we dont need the directions any more. The gray material looks nice as an ottoman or lounge and the frame is sturdy (except for the head of the bed being prone to collapse / that could use something to secure it.) Anyway, if youre up for dealing with the 2 issues mentioned (head of bed leg and extra firmness of sleeping surface), especially if space is at a premium, this may work for you. It did for us / and our guest.
I bought two of these chairs for my guest room/kids media room, and promptly returned them. If I were only planning to use it as an ottoman or a twin bed, I would have been happy, but the primary use for me was as a chair, and in that configuration, it was so supremely uncomfortable. The seat is so long that the break at the knees is really awkward. The back doesnt sit up all the way, so the sitting position is very unnatural. Finally, the back is really short, so theres very little support in that reclined position. I would recommend this item if youre only using it as an ottoman and occasional bed; if you need a seat, look elsewhere. so you get what you pay for.
I love this bed. It is a mild mannered ottoman by day but at night is a mighty handy twin bed.The designer really thought out how to make this perfect. there are magnets to close the skirt neatly. It is wide enough to sleep on. things we learned include
twin sheet have no where to tuck in. Finally slipped the sheet under bottom feet to hold down top sheet.
we bought a memory foam topper to cushion the sleeper at night. the fitted sheet works there.
to lay the headrest flat, you have to ratchet the headrest all the way up to unlock it. it is very easy to start the upward slope and happens by accident a lot. Comes as shown in picture.
Love this sofa bed! Great for small places and was very easy to assemble. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you plan on using this as a bed 24/7 I would suggest buy a mattress foam topper or just buying an actual bed because for long term use not the most comfortable. Be sure to have it
Not soft as a bed or soft as a couch. Youre product overstated the word soft, but the covers are smooth. Using this before bed time, add my own pillow and blanket, rest or nap. Extra careful on the back/recliner, it is short to support someones back and short on neck, add a softer pillow. however I would not recommend anyone buy this.
I really like this for when my son has a lot of friends sleeping over, unfortunately its not comfortable at, I even used a 2 gel mattress topper and it was still too firm, but its fine for one night of sleeping. very pleasantly surprised
Very sturdy but comfortable to lay on. My husband fell asleep on it the first day. Its very convenient for when we have guests. Twin sheets fit very well and we enjoy how firm it is. It feels very sturdy, there was virtually no set up, and the green velvet option was a nice addition to the rest of my velvet furniture. We love it so far! Easy to assemble just takes a while
