I assembled this in about 4 hours by myself but I was also watching Netflix so it probably should have taken less time. The height is great and my 5 year old loves his new bed. Its a little wobbly if you give it a jolt I might end up attaching some crossbars across the legs. Otherwise, great bed, Ive even slept in it with my son when he was sick and it didnt collapse!
I had a few assembly hang ups, so Ill try to help you out in case you face the same issues.
On page 8, you need to attach piece 10 (the side safety bars) to the bed using wooden dowels. This proved to be impossible if you dont loosen the headboard piece first. After I loosened all of those screws from the headboard, then I could easily attach the 10 pieces and then retighten the screws to the headboard.
Page 11, you need to roll out and attach the mattress support. You need to line the holes up PERFECTLY. My suggestion is to very loosely screw in all the screws before tightening them. Even then, it was tough so I dont know if the screw holes were a little off, or if I was. Either way, this was frustrating.
The rest of the assembly was pretty easy.
It would have been MUCH easier with two people, but I dont need no man! Also, after the fact, I see the website suggests power tools. Normally DIY furniture discourages power tools because you may over tighten or strip the screws. I would have loved to use power tools, so if you have them, definitely use them.
The bed has lots of little slats that you have to carefully line up between two boards. This was a little tricky and they kept falling apart during installation. Once it was put together it was completely solid and beautiful, but that first step requires som patience. These beds are short and quite low to the ground. Be sure to check the measurements.
Took awhile to put together but wasnt hard at all. It looks like picture and is very sturdy.
Would def. Recommend
I was kinda nervous buying this online but was better than I thought it would be. My grandkids love it.
Toddler loves it! I was able to fit a soft queen mattress under for him to start sleeping on until he is old enough for the top bunk but during the day he loves using the slide, the steps and goes on the top bunk to read. Easy to assemble! I did it myself in two hours- it helps to identify and lay all screws out first. Overall very pleased with the bed and how unique it is. It does have a strong chemical smell- paint and wood? so I ran a purifier for a few days before letting my child sleep there.
Upon putting together the bed everything looked perfect. It was sturdy and easy to put together and my daughter was so excited! But after the third time of her sobbing that she hurt her tailbone at the end of the slide me and my husband tried to figure out how to fix that. I saw other people post comments about the end of the slide but figured it wouldnt be that bad It was pretty bad and she got pretty hurt. Anyways, to fix it we just flipped the bottom piece of the slide upside down and set a pillow at the end. Now she is obsessed and its perfect! I attached a few pictures for an example of what we did!
I loved this bed when I first assembled it, but after 6 months the screws are coming loose, my ladder is constantly falling which causes the top rail to fall as well.

Perfect for toddler
Cute bed. Enough room underneath for toddler play area if you dont use it as a bunk.

My son loves this bed!
I love this bunk bed and the fact that its low to the ground is perfect for when my youngest starts to sleep in a big boy bed!

So sturdy enough
