I have learned a lesson. This is a good looking console, beautiful if in perfect condition but not the case this time. Perhaps it is a crap shoot and you have to get lucky.
I am not happy with the condition of the top and will not order furniture from again ( another person had a similar looking defect that I saw after it was delievered to us). Got the whole of it together and turned the top piece over to place it on the cabinet and found it was cracked or torn. Very visible, on the table top. However, now it is together and there is no way we are taking it apart to return it. Will try to find a way to hide the flaw.
Many , many small screws, nuts and bolts to drop if you have arthritic hands.
Holes were not drilled as good as they could have been, making it more difficult to place tiny screws
that needed to be drilled into console.
We assembled it in about 4 hours.
I had checked the tracking message and was told it wouldnt be delivered till a specific date. We wanted to be home to receive it was because it was furniture.
We were away for the night and came home to the item on our front lawn (two days earlier than tracking had reported) a good 8/10 feet away from our front porch ( In the past everything has always been placed on the front or side porch) and quite frankly seemed to have been just left there. If one person was delivering it, it could have been dropped because of the weight, who knows. It took both myself and my husband to bring it in the house.
Perhaps it getting too big and quality service is no longer important to them.
A set of 24 screws needs 3/32 pilot holes to be drilled to precisely 1/2 depth or the screw heads will easily strip out in any attempt to install them as is (Ive been using hand tools as a professional since 1973, so this didnt occur due to lack of skill). Also, the instructions have you install part 9 in step 4 when it doesnt need to be installed until step 14. The part is very much in the way for several steps in the interim. All the other numerous screws have proper pilot holes for easy installation.
Otherwise, its a sturdy, good/looking, highly functional product.
Im a 52 26 y/o female who put this together by myself with a screwdriver. Was really easy and instructions are pretty straightforward. No pieces were damaged and all of the hardware was included. I got the 66 tv stand gray wash, looks really nice and the glass doors are a really nice touch. Overall really pleased so far.
Over all Im pleased with this TV/console table. I would have preferred if they would have left the holes covered and allowed me to punch out the ones I was using. Expect this to take an afternoon to put together.
Box was beat up but packaged good enough that nothing was cracked or broken (see last photos). Bought the 70 in. Light Rustic Oakits more in the grey side (first 2 photos with my LED lighting), but I put my warm lighting on and it makes it a/bit more neutral color. One of the bottom pieces I couldnt get the screw to go in no matter how hard I tried but so I just had to place it myself under without a screw for support. One of the sides the screw came out (due to being particle material) and had no more grip, so now I have to be very careful when moving it. Overall, its okits cute, time consuming to assemble but instructions were pretty good. Im hoping this last me a bit to save for a better material console.
I love the stand. It is sturdy and very attractive. I have put lots of furniture together, and with this I only had 2 issues. One was the holes for the numerous small black screws were only about 1/8 deep while the screws were about a 1/2 or more deep, and the wood is very hard. The screws would not go in using just a screwdriver. If not for that I could have had the cabinet together much quicker. The starter holes should be deeper. The other issue is the back panel was cracked on arrival. I was planning to try to get it replaced but once I realized it is in the cabinet in such a way that I would have to disassemble the whole thing to replace or wait for however long to get a new one, I decided to keep it the way it is. It is not visible so it does not affect the aesthetics. The center panel goes in the very bottom of the box and could use some extra protection for shipping. Now that the stand is together I am very happy with the look and sturdiness of the tv stand.

Drill and 3/32 bit needed: Proper pilot holes not drilled of one set of 24 screws
