Con: not all the holes are pre-drilled. The main holes are, but some of the more competitive pieces are not pretty drilled like the boards that go across the bed to hold the mattress. Not the end of the world but definitely be prepared to have somewhat sore muscles from screwing in those boards.
Instructions and pictures, plus having every part labeled made it so easy to assemble. Super fast shipping, got it much faster than expected. My teenager loves the extra bed for a friend and the extra storage underneath, saving space in her room.
Turned out so cute! Kind of a pain to put together but my daughter loves it. The metal screw heads are exposed which is kind of a bummer with the esthetic, and the top slats do not leave any room for error while screwing in. I'm not 100% confident they will hold the mattress for a long time
Everything is real wood except the bottom piece on the drawers.
Every single piece of wood (besides the slats which are obvious to identify) had a number sticker that matched instructions. All holes were pre-drilled on the top piece, although some (like the slats) didn't have a hole on the lower piece. Pieces are also secured with wooden pegs and everything feels pretty sturdy once assembled. Assembly was straight-forward and possible to do alone, with the only difficult part being balancing the bed rails to attach the head and foot boards.
I split a piece in assembly. I emailed the company directly (not thru ) Sat evening, but repaired it since I wasn't expecting a resolution soon. They replied on Sunday and recommended a replacement piece even though I said I thought the repair would hold. They shipped me the new piece on Mon or Tues.
The slats ought to be a cm longer or the rails they rest on be a bit wider. I didn't like screwing them in so close to the edge.
We bought this despite being not quite the right color, due to the price, real wood, and good reviews. I think it was a great value, even considering I added a couple of light coats of paint.
