Platform bed. Love the bed. Not too bad fir assembly. We were missing whatever is needs for the side wings, so those not installled. But bed is just fine.
King foam type mattress fit just fine. We swapped out our queen black bookcase bed with this and its good. Nightstand are black and chests are black. Looks great. Jersey sheets and gray down comforter seals the deal.
I expected this to take me all day / instead it took about an hour. The pieces arent labeled, which is annoying, but you can figure out where they go based on the instructions. Looks great.
has decided to use the pandemic as a cop/out for not having telephone customer service (seriously? That is such a lame excuse, customer service can be done from home easily) and hasnt yet responded to my email or my part request for the missing part. My sons bed is missing a leg! They sent me a duplicate of the other side leg and they arent reversible so I cant finish putting it together. I already gave away his crib and started assembling this because I have never in my life had a furniture part missing until now. Never going to make that mistake again! So now we have to figure out what to do with this thing while we wait for them to get back to us via email (again I am so frustrated about them not having phone service and acting like the pandemic is any kind of reason for that). Meanwhile my son has to sleep with us because theres nowhere else for him.
Its really unfortunate this is becoming such a hassle though / the bed is solid wood and incredibly sturdy. Assembly has been a bit fiddly but its because the hardware is very well thought out. The bed has a VERY STRONG chemical smell though. Id say this needs a good week or more to air out before anyone could sleep in the room.
Update: took several days but I did hear back from . Theyre out of stock of this part and have no idea when it will be available again. Yikes. Im sending this back and I suggest people steer clear of this furniture until they get this stuff sorted out.

We purchased this bed after upgrading to a king sized mattress. We will be replacing all of our bedroom furniture soon, so this is just a temporary fix. Hope the quality holds up for a year. Initial quality is good, its attractive and it was pretty easy to assemble. One note, the box is HEAVY. Will need at least 2 people to get it off the porch.
We needed to upgrade to a king bed, this required a bed frame that didnt look like crap but also didnt cost thousands of dollars. This frame was a good match. We waited for it to go on sale using camelcamelcamel and got it. The packaging is super well thought out where the entire bedframe fits within the head board. Having said that, as other reviewers have mentioned, having a friend helps because this thing is heavy when it is all packaged together. I ended up just opening it in my foyer and moving it in smaller pieces to the master bedroom. It is also surprisingly sturdy once a mattress is on it. It does not make any noises at all and stays put like a rock. Were very happy with the cost affective king bed frame.
Finally got to making the upstairs to a bedroom and didnt want to spend a ton of money, got it for a decent price and it was so worth it. Love the head board its so comfortable, and it pretty sturdy too!

Wow!! Me and hubby are not small people and we got a king and added a foam 14 mattress. Soooo sturdy Im so amed really how well this is built.

Easy to assemble!!
I loved that all the part were zipped up in the headboard. was really easy to assemble (easier then Ikea) and felt stronger as well.
