The light beige is really not beige (pinkish); it is a warm light oatmeal color, very nice. When it came, the dowels needed for attaching the cross pieces to the rockers were too tight to use. We stored them and all the wood parts in the warm furnace room for two weeks hoping they would dry out and shrink. After that I was able to tap them in with a hammer, though they were still too tight to just push in. The dowel holes in the rockers were not tight at all. Take your time putting the base together. If you think the holes are in the wrong place, dont get your drill out; you are probably wrong, and you need to study the instructions some more. There is an older review where someone complains of having a piece hit the back of the leg: I think the back bar was installed on the front somehow. The company now puts big front and back stickers on the pieces. The chair looks good. The seat depth and width is 20 x 20 inches. The seat height at the front is 19 1/2 inches, and the cushion is firm, so it is easy to get out of: this is really good for older people, as well as for parents with babies that are starting to grow heavy. All around, a very good choice.
I go this chair after doing some research about chairs for people with bad backs. It is great. This chair was a lifesaver when I was nursing my son. Sitting anywhere else caused a lot of pain. It looks pretty nice too. The one downside is that the fabric stains very easily! I was drinking water and spilled a little bit and now it looks stained. Not a big deal to me but I could see that being an issue for some people.
Package arrived damaged in the box. They would not send a new chair even though the box was perpetrated and the wood frame was chipped and scratched. They only offered $15 off great chair, bad customer service
It would have been a solid 4 stars if not for the fact that the screw holes are poorly aligned and made assembly very frustrating. In the end, there is one screw that we just cannot get in. Since it is not structurally significant, were using it without that screw in. Nevertheless, the QC could really use some improvement. Otherwise the rocker is good for what you pay for. It rocks smoothly on a thin carpet and the back is tall enough for you to rest your head. I am 53 and I can rock it although my feet dont rest flat on the floor if I sit all the way back. A lumbar pillow and/or ottoman should solve that problem. The vibration/massage function is an added bonus. Nice but loud!
I bought this rocker for my guest bedroom where I put my granddaughters crib. The delivery was quick and for a upholstered rocker chair the value was very good. Keep a eye out for the $15 off coupon. Its a little firmer than I would normally lean to but its actually a bonus getting into and out of with a sleeping little one. Assembly was VERY easy and only took a couple on minutes.
