Smooth rock with just the right amount of swing. My three year old loves to read with me in this chair and the baby is easily put to sleep. I find it very peaceful. It is sturdy and comfortable.
Update (2y glad to say this chair still works out great for us, the cushions stayed in pretty good shape, and its as good as new 2 years into its lifetime at our house. Had to fasten the screws once but other than that, still loving it.
This rocker will be perfect for our small nursery and a modest budget! It looks far more pricy than it truly is - made of solid wood and good, strong fabric - a great buy for the price! I wish the seat backing was either grey or black so as to not stand out so much
Add me to team item did NOT come damaged! - I had my fingers crossed for a week before this chair was delivered due to reviews about poor packaging, and thankfully I wasnt disappointed. Chair came in great condition and it took 20 minutes to assemble. Its firm and comfortable, though I cant speak for longevity yet as it wont have frequent use until December. One thing that another reviewer mentioned that I also agree with is that the rock isnt the best. On hardwood it does not rock smoothly, but its much better on a rug - something to keep in mind, but not a deal breaker. Looks-wise, its just what I was looking for in a chair that can be moved to another area of the house someday since it doesnt scream nursery only. Also I should note that I am 57 and my head can rest on the back - this was important to me. All in all pleased thus far!
Chair is exactly what I wanted. Modern, sleek and the perfect size. Could be a little more comfortable, but thats to be expected. The first chair came with broken legs, but the chair was replaced in a timeley manner.
I needed a rocking chair for the second kid. My first was a raggedity hand me down. But I wanted something that I could use after nursing the baby and this was perfect. It glides well, its comfortable and deep which for nursing is going to be perfect. It was easy to put together and is already standing up to toddler abuse from my eldest. Ive started rocking in it and it feels good.
Despite all the reviews on the packaging and some pieces coming in broke, I ordered this and took my chances. It was actually packaged just fine and nothing broken! Wood looked nice and color is really nice. Fabric is really nice too! It was similar to an item putting it together, nothing bad, I handled it myself and got it done within an hour. Love it!!!

LOVE. The color matches the photo perfectly. Very easy to put together. I was able to do myself in 30 minutes. Its comfortable and sturdy.
