I purchased two twin frames. One frame was put together without a problem at time of purchase. That frame is sturdy. I just recently tried to put the second frame together only to find out that two the pre/drilled wholes are not large enough to fit the screws. It also looks like it was purchased and returned since there were scratches on it straight out of the box. My window to return has closed//very disappointed.
The set up would have been much easier but two of the predrilled holes were not big enough for the screws provided. Lucky my husband was able to drill them out to fit. Also one of the places where there is supposed to be a predrilled hole for the the bedframe was not drilled out at all.
The bed looks nice but my main concern is that nothing holds the mattress in place. It does not sit inside the frame at all and can easily be moved out of place or pushed off the bed.
This is a truly bed frame, the are about 4 inches apart and I havent experienced any mattress sag. Fairly easy to assemble and can be done alone but the box will most likely require two people to carry. Plenty of room for storage underneath. Very sturdy, at least so far.

By the time the 15 mattress was on top the bed was taller than I imagined but there is a whole huge area for storage underneath of which I used plastic bins on rollers and they store under the bed and you cannot see them. I think if I had to do over again I would have bought a shorter version considering my mattress is so thick. But overall this is a fabulous product that looks great and is relatively easy to assemble as it only took about an hour.
Splurged on a purple mattress, spent days sifting through frames and platforms reading mixed reviews. Glad I took a chance on this one, went together easy and hasnt made one squeak or any kind of noise on a California mattress. Feels surprisingly sturdy.

I almost did not order because I thought center bars were plastic. All Parts are sturdy except wood . Easy to assemble, perfect fits. Like that fit firmly in place instead of loose on top. No amount of money could buy a better platform. Perfect.
Someone suggested we ditch the box spring under our foam mattress, saying that a bunkie board or would firm it up (I hated how soft the foam mattress was // very difficult to change positions). Got this bed for little more than a bunkie board would have cost ( size) and are super pleased. The mattress is firmer (hurray!), and we have a lot more storage space below the bed now.
Took exactly 46 minutes to assemble with two people. A second hex wrench allows both to work on the bolts at the same time., which probably saved a few minutes.
