I have the bunk beds and the low loft bed by and . They are such better quality than other childrens beds out there.. especially for the price. But the sturdiest of them is what was most important and valuable to me. Love these beds.
Absolutely love this bed, wanted something my 4 and 2 year old could have fun with without me fearing at night, definitely delivered. Wonderful low bunk for toddler aged children
Almost perfect! Only problem was hard to assemble and that is mostly due to the fact some of the pieces were not made correctly..for example the slats that go under the mattress did not fit the whole length so we had to be creative but that resulted in the ladder not fitting perfectly either but its still okay and my 4 year old daughter still loves it!!
Overall, Id strongly recommend avoiding this company, and encourage you to find another bunk bed option.
Once assembled (which was not an easy process) we put two standard-sized twin mattresses in.
The bottom bunk, once the mattress was laid in, felt like a crawl space. The kids (6 2) both felt uneasy in the space from the start.
One thing the site doesnt show is that theres a thick metal bar that runs the full length of the top bunk. It hangs lower than the wooden slats holding the top bunk up and droops above the lower mattress. Its a thick, unforgiving chunk of metal, which, when combined with a low clearing, creates a real hazard as we found out.
My two-year-old repeatedly slammed her head against it when waking up in the middle of the night, on several occasions. ?Then nearly knocked herself out when she had a nightmare and was trying to leave the bed. She has large contusions and refused to sleep in it again. Not a fun experience for a young kid.
When I called and explained the situation (after disassembling and packing it up) Im informed I have to pay a restocking fee. AND I have to pay for shipping back. Instead of a full refund (and maybe an apology for the injuries my youngest sustained), Im going to eat several hundred dollars on an item I dont even own anymore.
Long story short - there are plenty of amazing companies out there that are much easier to work with, have more forgiving policies, and extend some common courtesy when confronted with a situation like ours - a traumatized child with head injuries. The coldest I experienced with their returns department is surreal, and I hope everyone reading this heeds my warning.
Im really satisfied with the bed it came quick and only took me about 2 hours with a drill to put together and I love the space that it has underneath for the bottom bunk its perfect.
