I researched for over a month on finding my kids (who are 8 4) bunk beds. I didnt want the ones too high. These are perfect! The wood is sturdy and not cheap. It didnt take my husband long to assemble it. Worth every penny.
This bed is great and lots of fun! The slats are far apart, as you can see in my photo, but that was ok for us. The biggest issue with this bed is that a standard mattress for a twin bed will not fit without some space on the sides. I included a photo to show what I mean. The mattress size that fits best is 39 inches by 75 inches, as other reviews mentioned. With the comforter and sheets tucked in, it is less of an issue, but my sons toys fall between the bed and the wall and so do his arms or legs. Hes only 2 and a restless sleeper. Theres enough space to put a pool noodle between the bed and the wall but he pulls them out and plays with them so Im still working on a solution. I bought our mattresses from a friend at Mattress Firm but they were not the size I thought and I measured and showed them. You can find the 39×75 on for about $200 last I checked. We already bought these so were just going to work with what we have. That said, my son LOVES the bed! The slide is slick so he went down fast at first and that scared him. It would be even better for kids 3 to 5. The instructions were not the greatest, but my husband got it together in a few hours with the help of my MIL. Weve had it a few months and are still happy with it.
I searched and researched a bed for my 7 ur old to use for the next several years its SOLID made of SOLID wood. The underneath is tall enough for me (57) to sit under. And its pretty.. worth every penny! It DOES have a lot of put together steps so thats the 3 stars cuz it takes about 3 hours to put it together
So very cute! Its very study and my kids just live their new bed! I had people come and put it together for me, so Im not sure how much of a pain it is to put together but it took them a hour to finish with two men.
I think this is very much worth the money!
First: The bed arrived without all necessary hardware to complete assembly the company was kind enough to send me more hardware but was not kind enough to send the hardware priority overnight (this would have incurred a 66 dollar charge which I would have had to pay) so I have to wait 2 more days to put this bed together.
Second: the instructions are mediocre
Third: I overpaid for this on the and website (my fault).
My husband didnt put it together exactly. He put the stairs slide side by side. But it will hold all 4 kids when they chill together. It is sturdy and perfect for our kids! Some days it is a jungle gym compared to a bed but it is holding up and they love it!
It is easy to set up and didnt take too long, our marriage has been tested more by furniture. The bottom is nice but so short. I will hit my head trying to get out and I am 52. The top is nice and easy to get into. The best part of this is that I can easily change the sheets without hurting myself. The only bad thing is the slats on the bottom of the bed frames. If I put my knee down it will push the mattress through. Of course we went with the cheap foam mattresses that are only 4 thick but I wish these came with a better board for the bottom of the beds, thankfully the kids dont care. The slide is so so fast! We thought of putting something on the slide to slow it down but the kids have figured out how to slow themselves down thankfully because every time I watched them come down I about had a heart attack.
Overall cute bed, good for beginning room sharers. Great height and easy assembly.
My daughter LOVES her bed. We live in a 100 year old farmhouse so the bedrooms are kind of tight, and this loft bed allows her to have her designated sleeping space AND all the space underneath for playing and toy storage. I assembled it by myself and it was very manageable. I had to lean the structure against a wall at one part to get the long and short sides together, but that wasnt a big deal. Its pretty sturdy, but well need a bunkie board when my daughter is bigger. I added clear non-slip traction tape to the ladder, which I recommend if your child likes to wear socks to bed, because the finish is very smooth and a child could lose their footing in socks. Its a great bed for the price!

It is still standing so I guess it is alright
It is wobbly on top rails and the ladder hooks have bent and the stairs are loose. All of these happened after use.

Hardware organization could use work

Perfect for small spaces and kids.
