This product is amazing. I got the loft slide version. Definitely dont let you child go down it bare back they will skid down on it too quick. My son has autism and this bed has allowed him to willingly want to sleep in his bed every night. I set a reading nook with some lights underneath. For a smaller kids room, this bed is perfect and has held up for over a year.

I feel comfortable with my 2 year old and 4 year old sharing it because not only does it not shake when they are playing on it it is also close to the ground. Top bunk comes up to the top of my shoulder and I am 54.

UPDATE: The slide on one bed is officially out of commission and we now need to get a completely new bed. THIS BED IS NOT WORTH IT. It completely tore away from the bed itself wirh no excessive wear or tear to the slide itself.
Bought 2 of these for my twins. Setring them up was rough because you need a drill and its not listed as a needed tool. The boys LOVE them, however after one month, this happened to the area by the slide, and something similar had happened on the other bed within the first day. Theyre only 35lbs and 43lbs.

I did a ton of research and reviews for these types of beds are all over the place, so I was a bit skeptical that I made the right choice. The bed was easy to put together, all pieces fit correctly and it came in perfect condition. I chose this one because of the weight capacity and the height under the bed, and Im very happy with both. The slide is fast and slick, but a carpet or mat at the bottom is an easy fix and well worth the enjoyment kids get while going down it. The guard rails are a good height (we chose a 7 foam mattress- no extra beams needed underneath) but do show some wiggle room if you put too much pressure on them- other than that, its nearly perfect.

Downside is that our sons feet get stuck on the slide, when not wearing socks (basically all the time), and it makes him fall off, sometimes head first.
So we are worried about leaving him alone in his room, with this bed.

The ladder is great with wide steps. Easy to remove or move to another side. The slats under each bed were little further apart then I would like so we added a piece of painted plywood to each bed. Now we have a play space on the top bunk too!
Had to return the product. My son 3 years old and loves this bed, but it is too high and not safe at all for a kid his age. The web page says that it is for kids ages 3 and up. The warning label on the product says that the bed area is only for ages 6 and up, and I understand why. The guard rails are not high enough, the slide is too steep, and the bed is just too high for a 3 year to sleep unmonitored. Could wake up in the morning, start jumping on the bed, and fall off and get a very serious injury. The warning label also says this. Higher than it looks. Do not recommend for small children and definitely if you have hard floors. We loved the bed, the value, and the idea, but we have to get something safer for a kid our age. It sucks because we really like the bed. They do need to fix the steep slide however.

This bed looks beautiful but like other people have mentioned, the ladder dangles/wobbles even after professional installation.
