Update: I contacted the customer service department at and and they are replacing the part that broke for me
I cannot recommend this bed. I went by others reviews and Im always sceptical of those 1 star reviews and judge myself but not were they right. The pine is just not right for a loft bed.. One of the supports that the bed slats sit on, cracked when my 40 lb child got on the bed.
Moved into a new place and needing something for our 5yr old and 2yr old. On moving day we had a friends 15yr old son set it up. He was easily able to do so in a few hours, even with little minor distractions. The equipment is sturdy, the bunks are at a perfect height for toddlers, and it looks well. I have no complaints and am quite happy with my purchase.
Very well worth it, I did not put it together, my husband did it alone. Ups guy needed help bring the long heavy box in since we live on the 3rd floor.. and over all we are very happy with the bed. It is sturdy, we did not screw in the stairs because we have a one year old and she will climb on .. but out 5 year old easily puts and removed the stairs as she needs to. No smell from the paint just smells like new furniture. Go for it, its a good study quality bed frame ... ALSO.. go for a 6 inch mattress. We got the zinus green tea mattress and theyre okay.. a little hard even for memory foam
This loft bed is wonderful and will be used for MANY years to come - clean materials, weight allowance/sturdy enough for a multiple kids or parent to climb on top (which I have to do in order to change the sheets), and easy to assemble in a couple hours. We created a reading nook/play space underneath that my 2yr old loves. I also loved the option to pay a little extra for delivery into my front entryway - which gave me confidence that the packaging would arrive undamaged.
Tips per other reviews - 1) I added bed slats to give extra mattress support, 2) the slide is very steep/fast so we added a pack n play memory foam topper (a pillow will also work) under the slide as a landing pad, 3) a long bumper pad was perfect to block to ladder and slide openings to ensure safetly while sleeping (we also used fluffy pillows in the beginning).
It took my husband alone 5hrs to assemble. He said its not as hard as he thought. The bed itself is very stable and pretty. My 2 and 4 year old both loved it so much. The only complain I have is the plywood slats. I thought I am receiving hardwood slats rather than plywood. It is still fine if its stable, but the problem is it keeps emitting chemical smell that really made me dizzy. We opened the door and turn on the air purifier for two weeks and now the smell is almost gone... until I cosleep with my 2 year old on the bottom and looking at those slats in front of me and smell the strong odor from the plywood slats... I really wish they have the hardwood slats option cuz Im really afraid its gonna harm our body.
Love this for my daughters! Only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is there is a giant metal bar underneath the top bed and my daughter has hit her head off it a few times getting out of the bottom bunk. wish there was some foam piece to go over and protect her head!

Cheaply constructed using pine.

Was exactly what I was looking for
Was exactly what my boys wanted
It appears sturdy and it looks nice.
It looks very nice in the kid room. And you can place the ladder on either side
Easy Peasy, Worth the Purchase

Good quality and sturdy

Sturdy and safe for my 2yr old

A little better quality than .
Solid kids bed for the price. We put a mattress under it so our smaller kid can sleep without falling off the bed.
Pretty bed, easy assembly but strong chemical smell

Stability
Coloring is beautiful but for the cost I feel it should be a bit more solid. Re tightening every month and my little doesnt even jump in it.
Love it! Only 1 downfall
