    SO WOBBLY

Im so disappointed with how wobbly this bed is. My sons only 3 and small for his age and it just is SO wobbly. Also we needed to purchase one of the boards with slats going the opposite direction to keep the mattress from going through the slats. The construction of the bed otherwise is great, the quality is great of the actual wood, it was easy to put together and we love the space it creates for play underneath but man, Id have chosen a different bed of I knew how wobbly it would be :/ going to try to rig up supports I guess but the last thing I wanna do is be making modifications/painting rails, etc. We just wanted a sturdy loft bed for our son. Maybe my expectations were too high.

Super cute and nearly exactly what I wanted!

Super cute and nearly exactly what I was hoping for! Really the only downfall is the steepness of the slide, which was a little disappointing since its the reason I bought it. But with some pillows at the bottom it helped a ton to soften the landing from such a quick ride! Overall, it was an awesome purchase! Just be ready for a lengthy assembly lol

Easy to build and son loves it

Ok, i assembled this on my own. 52 female. Familiar with tools. The instructions have zero words but was able to figure it out. Pay attentiin to the images carefully to make sure you got thw right piece and the numbers. Also i felt the top slates were enough so i cut the bottom slates and pulled the black strap holding together the top slates and places the bottom slates between the top to add support. All i did was pulled the staples out by pulling the black strap and pulling the staples out. You can get a staple gun and restaple if you wish but i didnt need to. I only pulled off one side. Then screwed the extra pieces between the first set if that makes sense. Gave the top more support for the top since i have a 4yr old that jumps and is rough as hell. So to give piece of mind i added the bottom slates to the top. I placed the the mattress on the bottom on the floor. You can buy more slates on but i didnt need to. Also i skipped the step to screw in the slide and ladder. Wifh the mattress it stays on great and can move it as i please. Also pay attention to the twin size mattress dimensions. I had to find a twin memory mattress rhat was the same dimensions. Thanks to anothrr review below i got the right one. My son absolutely love his new bunk bed and spend more time in hus room now. I woudl buy again and recommend. Also acheduled delivery was on point. Paid extra for them to bring it in the room. I know i cant carry 100lbs box so worth the extra $20. Box that came in wasnt crazy big and hard to think the bunk bed fit in that. It came in alot of pieces but i alone put it together took about 2 hours. Helps if you have a drill for anything that you have to screw into the wood pieces. Saves you alot of time. Lol also i put a pool noodle as you can see in the pics so my 2 yr old niece and 4yr son doesnt hit their head or fall on the bottom wood pieces. Bc first mim they started playing my niecs jumped up while on the bottom bunk and smacked her head and my son tripped running to the bunk bed and smacked his lip on the bottom panel. So added velcro and cut a pool noodle and placed it in the areas they had accidents already.

    Small space friendly!

This is probably the fifth set up we have used for our small spaces home, for our two young boys. Bunks can be very bulky and a pain to assemble, but these were very easy, and they are a much smaller foot print than some. Our kiddos love them! The only negative is the terrible smell from the sealer, but thats how anything coming in a box is.

    Great, but....

This product took about a month to arrive. So, we live in Alaska and not the lower 48, which may have contributed to the delay. As seen in the photo, the box was beat up well. Yes, all the parts fit in this box that weighed about 85 pounds. It may be best to have some help. I managed to put this together alone; however, when it came to attaching the railings, I had assistance. The product comes tightly packed, although the box was beat up, I uploaded a photo of one of the railings that appears to be bruised. Everything fit and was easy to put together. Some concerns: 1) the intoxicating smell of the paint. It is cold up here, but if you can unbox and allow the parts to air out for a couple days, that would be helpful. We have an airpurifier running and the smell is still intense. 2) spacing. The top bunk I placed a 10 twin mattress from a warehouse store and on the bottom bunk I have a 7 box in a bed twin mattress. Depending on how tall your children may be, if I put the 10 mattress on the bottom bunk my 4 year old will definitely hit his head. The bunk bed does not split and turn into two twin beds. Overall, this is a good bed that may last a year unless my 4 year old hits a growth spurt, in which I will have to sell this bed.
