Easy to assemble, pretty to look at!

Gorgeous chair! So pretty, in fact, that it looks right at home in the living room and doesnt necessarily have to stay tucked away in the nursery! The fabric is high quality and its comfortable. It was easy to assemble, only a couple of parts to attach. It is able to be done by one person, but would be easier done by two people. I wish it came with the ottoman, but the chair is useful and beautiful even on its own.

Great Rocker for Nursery (Graphite Color)

I am a Grandmother that spends a lot of time with my Grandkids. I keep them every chance I get and that is most weekends and holidays when Im not working. With two small Grandsons and two more on the way I needed a nursery again at my home. I have wanted and needed a rocking chair for the nursery for some time now. This chair arrived at just the right time and its perfect for my needs. ASSEMBLY IS REQUIRED The rocker arrives in a large shipping carton that required some help getting onto my enclosed porch. From there I was able to remove the pieces one by one and take them inside. Enclosed is the chair seat base, the chair back, the cushion, two wooden rockers and two wooden supports that connect the rockers together. Assembly is putting the rocking base together first with the enclosed hardware and allen-wrench. Next is attaching the seat base to the chair back and then attaching the chair base to the rockers. The cushion slides into the chair once everything is assembled. The color of the chair, Graphite, looks exactly like its shown here. Its a medium grey color. The chair is a nice size. Just to give you an idea, I am a size 16-18 Grandmother. I fit in this chair with some room to spare. When I sit in the chair the rocker leans forward. This measures approximately 16-1/2 from the floor to the top of the seat cushion. I am 57 and when I sit in the rocker my legs extend out of the chair 6-7 inches. This is not uncomfortable. I am able to rock comfortably. The area of the seat cushion available to sit on is 20-1/2 inches wide and 19 inches deep. The chair is approximately 34 inches wide measuring from the outside armrest to armrest. The wooden rockers are approximately 33 long measured from the front to back of the rocker. They are slightly longer than the base of the chair. The tallest part of the chair is 37-38 inches measured from the floor up the back of the chair. At rest the rocker does not sit centered on the wooden rockers. The chair weight pulls the rocker backwards with most of the weight sitting on the back rockers. The chair did have a chemical smell when I opened the box but its almost dissipated after airing for a couple of days. The seat cushion and the back cushion are firm but not uncomfortable. I find its easy to stand up from sitting in the chair with baby. I have the chair on vinyl flooring but it doesnt slide around when I sit down or stand up. I havent tried it on carpet but I dont see any reason why it wouldnt rock just as easily on carpet as, vinyl or wood flooring. The microfiber material appears to be good/high quality. There were no tears, loose threads, loose upholstery anywhere on the chair. Everything arrived in new condition and was easily put together by me. No help needed with the assembly. Overall its a really nice rocker for a nursery or a bedroom. Its comfortable to sit in when rocking the babies or to just relax and read a book. I would definitely tell anyone considering this chair to go for it. Its worth it.

Its pretty comfortable but there are two things that bug mt

Its pretty comfortable but there are two things that bug me. 1. The part of the chair that hits the back of my knees can be uncomfortable at times 2. It MOVES....maybe its my rocking style or my carpet, I dont know. I use a stool because my feet dont hit the floor when I am sitting all the way back, but I rock and soon enough I am like a foot away from my end table. Drives me nuts. I have grip stuff on the bottom and it helps a bit but for heavens sake...

    Like most peoples reviews

Like most peoples reviews, the chair is great but very challenging to put together. I was able to build the chair alone but took awhile with picture instructions. Chair is exactly what I wanted though!

    Excellent Value

This rocking chair is an excellent value. It was easy to assemble and quite solid after assembly. The only item I didnt care for was the white fabric that covers the frame. I would rather the cover be the same color as the seat and back padding. The white cover contrasts with the dark seat and back padding and is somewhat unattractive.

    Excellent!

This is my first review ever for , but I was very impressed with this product. I was looking for an inexpensive but sturdy rocker for rocking my grandbabies. This was perfect. I put it together myself and it is just what I needed. Sturdy, comfortable, and attractive!

Consider first the comfort issues....a must!

Everything that all reviewers have mentioned about the bar that crosses under the thighs is absolutely right on. I love the piece so much at this point, I am ready to put up with closed down circulation (just kidding), but did find a small cushion that I use to lessen the screaming pain that comes from sitting too long on this wonderful chair. What to do? is a great alternative AND although one does not need a graduate degree from MIT to build this rocker, someone who can actually read directions would be helpful. I was a failure although a great cheer leader. I love the piece, however, but do be concerned about the initial nylon covering that one must install. It cannot be replaced as it becomes part of the frame, i.e, bolts are screwed into it. This sounds pretty damning, but the rocker is a dream!
