Other than the functionality you really cant compare this to a futon. We replaced an RV couch with this in a coach we were selling. We were really pleasantly surprised at the quality. Very comfortable and looks great!
I bought this for my daughters play room. It fits perfectly and an extra sleep space. My niece sleeps on it when she visits.
The kids love it! It was easy to assemble. I did that myself and only took about 10 minutes.
