I am somewhat torn on this review. Bed came very well packed and easy to assemble. Color is light putty grey - so it works if you wanted white or off-white - not too gray.
When taking pieces out, noticed that some had minor repairs done on them. A back leg appeared to be cosmetic only but noticeable. During the assembly also noticed that one side rail was repaired right on the end - hopefully cosmetic as well. Considering the small cost of the pine, I would hope they could either junk the offending pieces or make repairs unnoticeable - I guess not at this price point though.
Also noticed cracks around couple inserted threads in the end board - cant tell how well they will hold over time. I called the factory customer service a week ago - no reply. I also send a note with photos the same day - no reply as well. That is a huge no-no in my book - what kind of 5 year warranty will I get if I cant get hold of the factory.
The middle metal supports are not perfectly vertical and are slightly bent all three in one direction - I am guessing factory welding of the brackets is slightly off - will see how well they hold up as well. We bought this as a guest bed - I would not consider this to be a daily sleeper.
UPDATE 6/12/2018 - responded after I commented below that there was no response to me second query. I got three separate e-mails from them to all my earlier requests and eventually they combined them into one. Even thought I asked for one leg and 1 sideboard piece, I got two legs from them ?!? The leg tops were perfectly finished as opposed to the ones I got in the box. No response to my side rail request though. I imagine I could push the matter but considering that I did get to respond I am satisfied that if the rails cracks any further, I will be able to get a replacement. So product itself is a four star, service - still to be decided.
It is solid wood which is nice but 2 of the nut inserts that are sank into the wood came clean out during install and I was just using a little hand allen key to tighten. Seems like it is pretty sturdy once all together though. Weird being so low but that is how platform beds are. For the price I would probably do it again given that this was a very inexpensive bed but I would have been at 4 stars if this thing was about 50 bucks cheaper given the quality and 5 stars if the nuts also hadnt come out. A little glue back in place and they seem to be holding but still I shouldnt have to do that when being so careful during installation.

The true color needs to be updated as it is now not worth returning. Now I am going to have to paint it myself or the room just looks blah. Another review said it was a cream. I still ordered as that also would have been fine with me.
It is grey, not even creme, no where near white. Bought this and a cherry Zinni bed. Cherry one was excellent, this not so much. Photo of comparison to styrofoam as a known color

8/10 quality, 9/10 appearance, 10/10 price
