Needs more attention to details but it is beautiful

First off let me preface this, I have put together hundreds of prefab furniture pieces over the years. Im a bit fanatical how things should fit (as an Auto Tech I am just built this way, lol) My first impressions unboxing this thing was the packaging was done nice enough to keep pieces from becoming damaged during transit. And oh yeah, its heavy about 100lbs which is ok cause good furniture should be heavy. Everything came out of the box looking good. Next sort through the assembly hardware. Hmmm, wooden dowels and glue.not a deal killer but my first clue that I may not be happy. Assorted screws, camlocks (look cheap but we will see )etc all labeled nicely and all accounted for. Start assembling, ok the directions are clear no problems heremoving on. Half of the way thru Im heavy into the cam lock part of the assembly and this is where Im not happy. I quickly realize my first instinct about the quality of the camlocks is true. 3 issues prop up, 1st the camlocks dont have the usual positive engagement feel most others have. Meaning you cant feel the lock engage and stop. These feel as if you never now when the lock has finally come to its fitting position. 2nd I start to find when the holes were bored for the cam locks the factory never cleaned them out properly. So now i start to clear the holes with a screw driver first hoping this changes the camlock engagement. Sadly it doesnt cause I find problem 3 which is holes not bored deep enough nor are the attaching pins on the adjacent boards set to the correct depth. End result is you must stop short tightening the cam locks or you just cracked the boards. And yes I cracked the face board at the very top. A small bulls eye appeared as I heard the sound of wood splitting. Because of the color and texture and location I realize this imperfection will probably never go noticed. Im pissed but Im not stopping at this point. What was I going to do? Box it up and sent it back. Kinda get the feeling the manufactures already consider this scenario. So my final impressions where that I felt like this was some rookies first attempt at designing a piece of prefab furniture. If so they get a C minus for the build aspect and hardware assembly aspect. I have put together similar pieces with 2/3 less hardware and a whole lot less assembly time than this piece (@ 3hrs for this piece) . On the flip side of the assembly and why I ended with 3 stars was after its put together this thing is very pretty, its sturdy and well its almost unique in its appearance.

Exactly what I expected. The assembly instructions were some of the easiest and best I have ever dealt with. Would definitely order from the seller again.

It will take hours to assemble!

Takes several hours to assemble but overall well worth the money! Thought for sure if was going to have damage by looking at the box, but it was extremely well packaged! We love it!

    Heavy and sturdy.

One of the door hinges is bent but otherwise its exactly what I wanted! Takes two people to put together. Lots of pieces. Heavy and sturdy.

    Attractive, functional, and sturdy

This is a sturdy piece thats perfect for our use as a tv and accessories stand. Looks upscale. I was skeptical having read prior reviews, but am pleased with the paint and the product (purchased black). The box is 150 pounds; you need two people to move it. It is much easier to assemble with two people / and less time/consuming; took me and my daughter about two hours. The instructions were very clear. I recommend making sure you unpack, sort, and organize all of the parts as listed before starting assembly. I used a low power electric screwdriver on NON/cam screws. Easier on the hands. Have one person assemble the s while the other does the initial prep assembly steps. If you can assemble , you can do this.

but we found one online and overall looks nice.

A little smaller (length) than expected, scratched top, and NO MANUAL provided, but we found one online and overall looks nice.

Set aside some time and patience to put together this pretty cabinet.

I researched s, credenza, and sideboards for what seemed like a decade and ultimately decided to buy this cabinet. I read a lot of the reviews, and most of them said putting it together was a bit of a bear, but expect around 2.5 hours as assemble time. I wish I knew those people that put together this cabinet that fast. I would invite them over anytime to help me out. I think all in all it took me and my husband (helping part of the time) around 4 to 5 hours to accomplish the assembly. (Yes, I know that you can pay for someone to put this together, but I wanted to save a bit of money). Putting the glass doors on proved to be the hardest part. If you are still reading this review, you may want to try to put them on before you put on the backing pieces. The backing pieces require approximately 100 million tiny screws to affix the thin cardboard to the back of the cabinet. If you leave this off while putting on the doors, you can also access them from inside the cabinet. (I hope this is making sense.) It was hard to put together, but I do love the look of it.

    Great directions and quality

Not sure what everyone is complaining about with assembly. Clearly its user error and not the product. Took 1 hour to put together taking my time. Great directions and quality. Only issue is I ordered antique and got more of the not so much antique which Im OK with so if youre looking for an older look it may vary Either way I love it and looks super good.

Took close to 2 hours to install, but worth every minuet. Looks aming and better than the 400 stand we bought on wayfair.
