While this daybed looks great, it lacks the strength and the stability to serve its purpose unless you are willing to make modifications. The slats have no central support and easily bend with 15 lbs of weight applied to them. No wonder many people who bought this bed experienced the same issue. We ended up making an independent platform out of sturdy plywood, supported by nine 4x4 wooden feet to go under the slats to support the bed frame. Yes, that means the trundle bed can no longer be stored under the day bed frame, but we wanted a functional day bed that could be used as a couch seating 2/3 people easily during day time. Bottom/line: the price is right for what it is, but dont expect this bed to sustain the weight of adult/s without bending unless you are willing to make modifications.
This is a very pretty and sturdy frame. It looks like a more expensive metalwork frame. The black/bronze finish makes it compatible with most bedroom furniture. It was challenging to assemble, as many of the holes were drilled slightly off.
Stury and stylish! Downside it cant fit a pillow top mattress on the bottom but it can on the top! Theres wheels for the bottom half making it a breeze to take out or put away the second bed.

However, it seems that I will need to place a .25 inch of plywood on top as I do not have a box spring and it will be only a 12 thick memory foam mattress / the rods across the frame are round and it seems it would indent the mattress.
I just want to give a tip to those who have posted a review on the difficulty of aligning screws and holes. Follow the first instruction /DO NOT TIGHTEN SCREWS UNTIL THE END. Thats it. It was assembled in less than 30 minutes by one person and everything aligned.
I will be posting some more as it is used.

This is the first time that I buy things on . The frame is wonderful! Its stable and beautiful, easy assembled. I used two hours to build it up all by myself. Highly recommend:D
