This is the third rocking chair for my daughters nursery (the first two were vintage hand/me/downs), and I cant believe I waited so long to buy one that suits me. Those first two make me appreciate this more, though! The chair is well/balanced and stable, and although it does rock, it isnt loose its very easy to get out of smoothly with a sleeping baby. The arms are low enough for nursing and the back is high enough to lean my head against. Its not an overstuffed chair but the padding is dense and supportive and very comfortable. And it looks great! And the footprint is modest. And the matching ottoman is very nice, too; Id been using a small vintage footstool, but the generously/sized, well/padded ottoman is much more comfortable. I like the oatmeal/colored, slightly textured fabric, although I wish Id treated it with Scotchgard before I began using the chair. My only complaint is that the bolts are a little finicky when youre putting it together.
This chair has singlehandedly been the best purchase for our little one. It is the most comfortable rocking chair, and you dont have to forego style because it is stunning. Its a showpiece in our living room. Everything about it is perfect. Would recommend to anyone.
I was hesitant at first to buy this since other reviews have stated the wood pieces were delivered damaged, luckily that wasnt my case. Everything showed up in excellent condition and was pretty straightforward to build. The chair looks exactly like the picture and looks sleek and clean in our apartment. The back is high enough to rest my head while rocking our little one, as well as high enough for my husband who is over 6. Its a firm yet comfortable chair with the perfect arm height to give your arms a break during those late night nursing sessions. The rocking motion is smooth, however, like any rocking chair I have sat in, it does walk (meaning the chair moves backwards as you rock) but Im sure thats an easy google search fix. Definitely recommend this as its a piece you can incorporate into your living room after its nursery days are over. plus its under 300, so total score!

I always appreciate when people do updates to their reviews as I find it helpful when deciding to pull the trigger and purchase. This chair still looks aming (we have it in the grey/walnut)! I sat in it for an hour and a half reading a book one time while my son napped on me, and its quite comfortable, maybe not as cushy as others out there but definitely comfy enough if youre stuck in it for an hour or more. Sometimes I add a pillow behind me if I want a bit more cushion. The arm height is still the perfect height (Im 5 7.5), as Ive had plenty of experience using them the past weeks. Overall, Im really happy with this purchase and its still a good buy!
Great chair (excellent fabric, great quality for the price) but it arrived without the assembly hardware and Im having trouble tracking down the manufacturer to get another set. Can someone help?
Got this for our sons nursery after hunting forever. Wanted something stylish and with a small thumbprint. Its a little bigger than I expected/ but SO comfortable and good looking. Tall back for my tall hubby, I can rest my head back nicely. Love this chair for our nursery. So happy we purchased!
Im sitting in this chair now and I have no complaints. Its a great, sleek rocking chair and perfect for a nursery (which is what we got it for). In a world of oversized and overpriced rocking chairs this one is a real winner! 6 months later: we still love it, holds its shape and comfy. Land of Nod is now selling a white version for over 1K!
This is a super stylish rocking chair. I purchased it in gray and love it!!
A couple complaints. 1) It irritates me a little that the price is 700 one day and half the cost the next. 2) I wish that I had ordered it through Interior express. I would have saved 75 using their 20 off coupon. The only reason why Im keeping it is that would withhold 30 for the return. Id still save 45 but I dont feel like dealing with the castle of returning it. 3) Im a little concerned with one little spot on the wood at the base of the chair. It almost looks like a crack. Im hoping that it will wear well. Im going to keep an eye on it. Its deffinitely not the quality of the monte design rocking chair sold at land of nod, but for a fraction of the price, its pretty nice!
