This bed was easy enough to assemble. Sturdy. You will need a rubber mallet though. The two side pieces have a metal plug that has to fit in a small hole in the headboard. Was had to push in. We had to lay the headboard down on the floor and push it in vertically. Then the last footboard piece and two metal sections that have to slide into the side pieces. Had to use the mallet to get them in, dont slide in easily by hand. And then also used the mallet to get the last slate pieces in. Wasnt hard, then just dont snap in easily. A memory foam mattress will hand over the sides a bit. There r brackets in the frame that are supposed to keep a box spring in, but wont work for a memory foam mattress.
Sturdy / heavy frame and headboard. Instructions somewhat clear, took about 45 minutes to put together (15 of the 45 minutes spent unpacking and carrying parts to bedroom).
Great value for money. Simple, sturdy and visually appealing. Also it is a win, my rude cat, cant mess it up, because there is no fabric. Was the main reason I chose this design over others.
Sometime furniture from especially ones you can assemble yourself arent the best quality and dont least but NOT this one. Being over 300lbs I find the frame. Stable, durable and REAL metal. Would definitely recommend to all shoppers and provide assurance for my fellow plus size/big and tall prospects.
