I have this set up on our deck. Placed plywood across the floor, covering bottom elements of the frame. Between the heavy pots on the plywood and the tie downs it has held up well in some high winds. I do wish the little side windows could close up better than they do. I added a little tape to them.
Came missing one of the 2 pipes. only gave me the option of mailing it back for a refund or replacement rather than just sending me the missing part. We are going to try to use pvc to make it work but its definitely frustrating. It seems like a great product aside from the missing part.
This was missing an important part. No way of calling this company to get the part so I had to go to 2 different places to find something to work to put it together. Once I understand the very small instructions (picture with numbers) it went together very quickly. Im looking forward to using it as on
I love my greenhouse. It is well made. The only modification that I would suggest is having Velcro on all three sides of the two windows so that they close more securely on frosty nights.
I bought this for my indoor tropicals that need humidity and it's perfect for that. I added another shelf, lights, fan and have it on a concrete floor. It's perfect for what I need. If you are going to be using it outside I'd recommend securing it with reinforcements to help it stand up to blustery weather.
I keep the storage area above our garage at about 50 degrees all winter. This greenhouse was set up in this space and is maintaining a constant 72 degrees and 80% humidity using only the heat provided by the grow bulbs. I installed an extra set of shelving at the one end to expand the space. Right now I have germinated peppers and tomatoes to go into my garden the end of May, and I have been growing and harvesting basil, lettuce, and kale all winter long.
Instructions are lacking. But only took about 30min to assemble. To make it a tad more sturdy I drilled holes through the pole connector pieces and the poles and added small zip ties. I also zip ties the shelving to the poles. Overall I would buy this green house again. Cant attest to its use as a green house, because Im using it as storage for a push mower and yard tools. It should also be noted the green house comes with tiny steaks and string to anchor to the ground. I dont suggest using them. Im using bricks to hold the bottom section of poles down.
The Greenhouse would have been easy to assemble if all the parts were included, but the company has been outstanding with their customer service. They were receptive to my request for the missing parts and are expediting the parts shipment. Thanks Direct.
This is my first greenhouse and I was so excited to put it up. Assembly was straightforward and took about 30 minutes. We used the stakes to stabilize it in the ground but it blew away with wind from a storm two days later! Fortunately, nothing was damaged (I hadnt planted anything yet!). I moved it beside a fence and tied to it. So far everything is doing well. We hung a heat lamp for temperature below 40 F. It is remarkably warm inside even without it.
This greenhouse wont be used more than a year, as Ill be getting a more permanent one, but it is filling a need for a seed starting place until then.
