When the guide says two people are needed, please take their advice. I love the outcome. The platform bed looks good and is sturdy. Excellent customer service
The transverse metal bars to Support the mattress are too short and barely fit along the lateral Support bars. The Support bars are made up of layers of thin wood and when screwing the supports in, the wood splits. We had to buy separate 2x1 for additional support.Pretty good!
The bed came in perfect condition. I like the look and minimalist style. Frame was easily put together. However, the metal slats slide through a fabric cover. And then more metal through the center for the support. The three legs attach to the center support. Then after thats all assembled (very awkward) its placed on the bed frame. It was very complicated, awkward and unnecessary. I bought a Zinus brand platform bed last week for my son and that design was simple. It had wood for the slats that laid down with ease. Just rolled on. Why make a platform bed with so many steps just for slats. It was very difficult to put together. And on top of that, its a fabric. Its just a dust catcher. With wood slats I can easily take the bed off and dust and vacuum. No way will I ever try and remove the slats/fabric (that are screwed into the frame) to try and clean. Id return, but its hard to find black frames and it is a pain. I might have my husband place wood slats at a later time. My daughters bed is a full (73) and the bed frame inside header board to inside foot board is 75. So there is at least a 2 gap. Which you can see in the picture. Seems larger for a full.
OK, so I wasnt going to purchase this because of some of the bad reviews, but Im glad I ended up buying it. The value matches the price, but its pretty decent, and Im happy with it. There is definitely room for error when assembling the frame. I can see where other reviewers had issues. As you can see in my pictures, the center metal support is poorly designed. Instead of being a bar that extends from one end of the bed to the other, they provide two shorter bars - and you must begin each bar at either side of the bed (head and foot), and they pass each other in the middle but do not extend all the way. Also, they dont attach to the head or foot. Very strange, but its fine. And then theres the issue of the slats not extending quite all the way across. No big deal Just push the frame in a little before you screw it down, and voila, it fits just fine. You definitely need an electric drill for that part. Lastly, you dont technically need two people to assemble it. I am one person and got it done. It was a pain in the butt a couple of times and would definitely be easier quicker with more than one person, but not necessary. If you are not very handy, I would suggest requesting help from someone who is. In the end, I tested out the bed, and it feels very sturdy and trustworthy. It looks good too. I hope this helps. The manufacturer has incredible customer service. It's very comfy and I'm very happy!
The frame is sturdy for the most part. Was a little challenging to line everything up to put it together. When securing 2 of the base pieces the wood started to split. But I was able to do it myself in an hour or so. Looks great. Needs more colors
Super study, beautiful color, fairly easily to assemble. One giant chunk missing out of the head/foot of bed closest too the slide, the slide is extremely steep, its angled straight down. One chip out of the j labeled piece on the top as well. Other than that an over all great buy, my daughter loves it. Gorgeous color and design

Why design the slats with that much complication

Great piece of furniture for the price.
