Originally ordered this bed in the White, however most of my boxes were lost in transit. When I ordered again only this color, the Brushed White was available. I ordered thin it might just be a white wash. When it arrived I was disappointed with the look of the unfinished wood. I ran my finger on top and immediately got a splinter. I dont see how this is safe for children and I will be returning. What an inconvenience since there are 6 large boxes. If you plan on ordering, the White color is the way to go, it was smooth and seemed like good quality.
Ok so Im going to start with it takes time to do it, probably took us (My husband and I) about 6/7 hours straight yes were tired! But my husband used to work for a bed company and he know about beds, and when we were building this one he was complimenting it, Good Wood, the Paint everything, for me its worth the money!! I Love it!! Cant wait for my baby to see it
P.D. Watch every little hole of every piece from the instructions so you dont make a mistake(we had two minor ones) thank God it was not to difficult to fix it.
Solid sturdy setup. INCREDIBLY HEAVY BOXES, appears to be all real wood which is awesome. Decent instructions, better than any crap furniture from China
First time buying furniture online. I like to feel and see everything to make sure I get decent quality. After seeing the price and reading a few reviews I took a chance and glad I did. Similar bunkbeds are way more expensive (home depot, ashley furniture, rc wiley). This bed is very sturdy, functional and looks great. My son jumps all over it and 6 months later still not one issue. It did take my dad and husband a few hours to put together. I chose this one because I like that in the steps it has drawers and they are deep so a lot can fit. Also on the side there is shelves and again they are deep so it can store many things, I used to have bins on the shelves too so thats another option. I did get the option of the third bed and a mattress of 7 or no more than 8 inches fits there and tucks away nicely. Very happy with purchase and that I didnt pay almost triple for another one I had seen.
Overall, this is a pretty good piece of furniture. When building it, the instructions were a little unclear. Definitely not for someone who has never built anything. While building it also, I noticed that lots of the screws ended up stripping the wood with minimal effort and it was unclear until I had finished screwing that the wood had been stripped. One comment I have on the instructions is that they often gave you what could have been easily 4/5 instructions, had been compressed into one complicated direction. Once the bed was built, it was very nice. I dont have many complaints on the after product but thing I noticed is that after the trundle was removed then placed back under the bed, it became very hard to re/align the trundle so that it didnt look off centered.
This bed is solid wood and very pretty in person. The instructions could have been a little more clear by adding words, but otherwise it was pretty easy to assemble. It took a few hours to do, but it was so worth it in the end. Its a great loo piece. We also really like the hidden storage and the open shelves on the side.
The unit is very well constructed. No particle board. Feels very sturdy. The directions are only OK, for something with 100s of pieces. It took 2 of us about 6 hours to assemble. I am an engineer and a contractor. We are both very mechanically inclined. If you are less mechanically inclined it could be a nightmare. IKEA has nothing on this.

Worth Every Penny
Loved it Absolutely perfect!! Very sturdy the instructions were easy to understand and it took my husband about 2.5 hours to put it together!
