We love it! Very sturdy, looks great, and fun. It did take two men about 6 hours to put together so its definitely a challenge. But the end result was great! its very comfortable
We have had this bunk bed for about a month and overall it has been a good purchase. There was some difficulty in assembly, a hole drilled wrong and a factory installed patch popped out when things were tightened the correct amount. It took several hours even though I am a skilled handyman. I wish it was a bit sturdier, I told my kids that it was for sleeping only so no jumping or playing on it at all. I may still add some strategically placed braces. That being said, I would still recommend this bed for purchase. The seller was great! Very patient and open with our questions. Shipping took a few days longer than expected because of a shortage of labor at the shipping company. Again/ overall this has been a good purchase and I would buy it again. Like it a lot
I bought this bed is small size room to fit more space. The bed arrived in 3 packages nicely packaged protected with foam. Wry easy installation instructions. Took Aprox 2 hours for 2 adults. The bed is pretty sturdy and.l nicely painted. Very very happy
I purchased the Graphite version of this bunk bed and wanted to share my experiences, good and bad.
The negatives:
First, Ive never purchased a product that has smelled this bad for so long. Perhaps other colors dont have this problem. I put this together three weeks ago, and my sons room still smells because of the bed. I wish it were warm enough to open the windows. Second, putting this together was no joy. I wouldnt say its complicated, but it takes time (a lot of time, for me with kids helping/distracting, it was the better part of a day), patience, and most definitely two people for various steps of the process. Nearly all the parts go together with an Allen wrench thats included. Thanks to that little guy, my index fingers and thumbs hurt for three days. Third, I purchased 5 memory foam mattresses for both bunks. After spending 10 minutes in the full bed reading with my kids, I could feel the slats through the mattress. For children I doubt its an issue. But as an adult, I could never sleep in this bed in its current condition. You must either purchase a different mattress, or purchase and install a solid base or additional different slats.
The positives:
The bed is sturdy and well built. I dont have any concerns about my kids sleeping in this bunk bed. They have no issues getting in and out of the bed or with using the ladder. The bed looks great. The graphite is a nice color, and a welcome change if you are tired of furniture that is either white or espresso. For this price, I think the bunk bed is a great value. That was a problem!!
Pros: Beautiful bed once assembled.
Cons: Very difficult to assemble due to misaligned holes and missing parts. I had to order more wooden dowels because I ran out at the end while assembling the ladder. Wanted to love this product but it came with a lot of frustration! Other than that, its a great product!
Holding up well after a year of moderate use. Was missing some screws so I had to improvise. Only major issue that REALLY annoys me is trying to put the sheet on the bottom bunk. The ladder is so tight against the mattress on the bottom bunk that I have to yank the sheet into place. Considering returning
Very tough to put together, and already screws are coming undone. It took two people putting this together. Now it is cheaper than buying a 800 bunk bed that I priced. Im a bit disappointed.
Overall / Solid bed. I gave it three stars for one reason / the slats. Foam mattresses dont really work on the slats they give you. I ended up going down to home depot and bought thing sheets of plywood to put over the slats so a foam mattress would work. Once it did that, it worked great, but it was a pain in the rear to do that.
All in all our kids love it, Its solid and sturdy, but if I were the manufacturer Id take a hard look at your slat design, and start making it more foam/mattress friendly. Its not bad its just not great.
