Looks really nice and well engineered

I bought this for my daughters 11th birthday and she I put it together this afternoon. She didnt believe her mom could do it, but Ive put lots and lots of projects like this together over the years. I really liked how well organized all the parts were so it was no trouble figuring out the directions. The diagrams were easy to follow, though I did did a typo in which part number I needed in one step. Not difficult to figure out when you refer to the diagram. The whole thing took me about 6 hours to put together, there are a lot of pieces. One step was a particular pain in the butt because you have to snap these little plastic tabs into I think 20 slots. Tight fit. Im ony 50 , so someone taller with a better visual vantage point and arm angle probably wouldnt take so long. For the reasonable price, I dont think you can beat this.

    Great buy , excellent product.

If you can read , easy set up. Took about two hours with all the tools provided. The clips are a challenge , but if you take a pair of pliers and bend the clip inward slightly , you can pop em right in no problem. Just one at a time. The bed overall is a tank and has outstanding qualities for the cost. Also if your feet are week on the steps , go to the hardware store buy 3/4 pipe insulation and gorilla tape, if your buying black. Cut to fit , and nice and neatly fold a strip of tape on each side for a padded ladder.

    Great value, some assembly required

Ive been using this loft bed for over 2 months now and I am pretty happy with it. Good stability, decent quality and finish and simply does what I bought if for: Giving me a place to sleep while freeing up the space underneath to put my computer and art table. I am a pretty small adult (120lbsand my bedroom is tiny, so this works great. The assembly was a bit odd, as certain parts were mis-labeled and the drawings were somewhat incorrect in detailed areas. But being the nerd that I am, I read the instruction manual first and modified it to my needs. There were plenty of spare parts and I put it together in under 3 hour (by myself. The plastic sealing tabs holding the bed base bars were a bit stiff, so I bent them a bit using a locking wrench, and they went in easier (saved my thumbs. Also there were a few holes that were outside their tolerance level, so I had to bend the bars a bit to get the screws in place. But not bad, if you have a wall to lean against and some good old fashioned elbow grease. Overall, I like this bed. Its a great value for the money, and with a little head work and a friend to help you, assembly should be a snap.

    Great deal for the money

Overall this is a great bunk bed for the money. It is sturdy and looks great. I only gave it four stars for two reasons. First, putting it together was a pain because the directions were not explicit enough, very poor directions. Second, the ladder hurts your feet. Not a big complaint, but my daughter has complained about that. But we are happy with the purchase and would buy it again.

    Worth The Money...But time consuming

Okay so we took on two new babies and needed to change our current household from 3 children in a 4 bedroom to 5 children in a 4 bedroom. My two eldest boys were bunked up and my oldest son being 16 and quite tall needed a bed that could accommadate him comfortably, however my second oldest son needed something more his size which was drastically smaller. We looked for a twin over full bunk bed set and found a very reasonably priced one through and very reluctantly purchased it (bugdetary decision. Comparable beds were alot more money and I did want a metal framed bed because of the style of their room and I felt it would last longer and be more durable than a wooden on. I did not want a bed that would squeak and squawk with every movement or a thrown together contraption that would only last a year. Well once it arrived in a very narrow but long box I knew I was in for it...piece after piece...piece H, screw 8, slat M....on and on...oh I will tell you I had to step away a few times...it took me almost 4 hours to complete the construction of this bed. But mainly because I am not the putter-together in our home and I was excited about the project and wanted to do it alone. But if you take it slowly and pay attention to the very detailed and easy-to-read instrutions you will be fine. After we finished we were very happy with the end result as are my sons. It is a very nice looking bed but more importantly, well made and very sturdy. Given the amount of work it took to put it together I know that bed is very secure, safe and from what my sons have said since it has been up...comfortable. They are so happy with it and I am very happy I purchased it!

    We love it!

I am very happy with this bunk bed. It took a while to put together, but it is very sturdy and my kids are very happy with it.

    ok... can be improved upon

the bed part and desk part comes in seperate boxes. do read the instruction for both fully before starting, or else youll have to undo some of the steps in order to install the desk. the assembly is extensive but pretty stright forward, doable by one person under 6 hours if you know what youre doing. i would not recommend a woman to attempt it alone as it does require some heavy lifting. there are a lot of parts, and assembly is more difficult than a typical ikea piece. some parts youll have to muscle it a bit to make it fit. the desk top surface is really shallow. as you can see from the picture, its only about 16 inches deep. the desktop is also a bit low. if you install the keyboard tray you probably will have problem fitting your legs under the desk. i replaced my desktop board with a deeper desktop and eliminated the keyboard tray. the bed is twin size. im 58 and its barely long enough for me. so if you are taller than me then this bed is a no go. its plenty wide. the metal latter bars hurt your feet as youre climb up and down without shoes. im going to wrap the bars in foam pads when i get a chance. overall this loftbed + desk feels pretty sturdy and will probably last. it may rock and shake a lot due to the metal tube construction; its not like a typical peice of wood furniture. its about the best price for similar products. if you can live with the shortcomings, i would go for it.

    Perfect For Sleepovers

Purchased exclusively for a nephew to come over and sleep on. We put ours underneath a bunk bed, for a third bed. The frame is sturdy, and when taken care of, will last quite a while. The children that are on this bed range from ages 7-14; holds up well during use. Easily put together, 7 yr old son helped took them less than an hour to do.

    Almost great

First, the tube size chosen for this thing would make it bomb-proof. Very heavy duty, I have absolutely no worries of rowdy sleepovers racking the whole thing. Youre not going to tear this thing up...unless its not quite right when it arrives. Assembly was a bit of a challenge, but I rarely read the instructions and that may have helped. They appeared to be written in English-as-a-third language. Supplies! One of the threaded grommets that hold the main pieces together had a sloppy weld that damaged the grommet to the point that I couldnt insert the bolt. And, of course, it was one of the main connections. I have monitored the situation (ok, I slept in the bottom bunk and didnt break it and I think it should hold. If it doesnt, Ill most likely have to take the piece and get it welded, or try to mount some type of bracket to it to hold the weight. Overall, happy but QC could have caught the only issue before it became one. 4 stars overall.

A headache but a good product

The bed is a headache to put together but all tools were provided and after it was finished we really liked the end result. Also for an FYI... UPS doesnt handle large heavy packages very well and they allowed my item to sit in a warehouse for 3 weeks because the box was damaged and they didnt let me know. Other than that we were perfectly happy with everything.
