This is exactly what i wanted for my daughters room. Only disadvantage is that some of the pieces look purple so i had to get a can of white spray paint for those few pieces.
The sides are high and protect against falling out. Even with a high mattress there is still enough protection. I like the natural wooden material and the design. I can recommend.
Bed was easy to put together and my 3 yr old loves it! Very sturdy and well made and the black finish goes perfect with the other furniture in her room.
There were a few dings and scratches but its so beautiful and study. I love it and my baby girl loves it so much. This was definitely a great choice. It took me about 2 hours to put together but thats I had one board upside down and had to redo it.
