Box looked like it had been opened up several times prior and was dinged up quite a bit. The headboard paint was chipped in a few areas and part of the frame had some depressions. For my purposes it was fine and didnt warrant a return but packaging was a mess and its no wonder the frame arrived damaged. I highly suspect my particular order was an open box. I was left dissatisfied with the finish the headboard didnt fit properly due to part of it being askew but was corrected with extra force.
I hope For better luck on to others looking to purchase this bed frame. Assembly was easy. Bring a rubber mallet for installation. Assembles in 20 minutes once unboxed. Not so stable.
It only took 15 minutes to put together. The metal itself didnt feel as sturdy as I hoped but is holding up well.
After a month its holding up alright but i have a purple mattress and now Im seeing the slats are too far apart and the mattress is slipping between them in the middle Unstable.
We got this for a son, it was really the only manly one I could find that wasnt generic and fit in with his existing furniture. It was rather easy to assemble with a mallet. Nice looking.
A few issues I have: because its put together by joining the joints together (no bolts, just in a few places) when I move it to make the bed, I can feel the joints slipping out. I might have to get my husband to add screws in some places.
2. The slats are very wide with no center support. You must get a sturdy bunky board to not ruin your mattress. Not at all user friendly.
Im a little late in reviewing this as I was remodeling my house and waited until the painting was done to open the mattress and put together the bedframe. The bedframe is bigger than a queen and the inches that stick out on the end are awkward and the comforter barely covers it and I keep hitting my shin on it and my mattress keeps sliding.
I got these to replace my kids bunk beds the were easy to assemble. One of them got lost but replaced it and delivered it a few days later. Wow!! This was a great buy!!

Squeaky
The bed is sturdy, but it is very squeaky. I am not happy.
