Easy assembly on bed, slide is a different story

Love it. The bed itself (without the slide) was very easy to assemble. The directions were clear, no missing parts, everything was well packaged. Then we got to the slide, which theoretically should have been the easiest part to do. I think someone else did the directions for the slide. It just did not make sense and it took longer to assemble this one portion than the entire rest of the bed. Also, the bottom part of the slide had some very sharp angles that hurt. Fortunately the room is carpeted. If it were a wooden floor, the sharp edges on the slide would leave deep gouges on the floor. Once fully assembled, the bed seems fairly sturdy and my son loves it. Grand Bed for Grand Baby

Better directions.Had my concerns about this bed. Would it be strong enough. Would it come in a flat box and take long, frustrating hours or days to assemble. So, got the bed and yes, long flat box. But thats what I expected. But, the bed went together wonderfully. It took me 3 hours (but thats with the 4 year old grand baby helping). Probably could have done it in 2 if she had not been there. Are we pleased: ABSOLUTELY!! Very sturdy construction. No concerns at all over whether it is sturdy enough or not. Relatively easy to put together. Is 4 yr old Granddaughter pleased: ABSOLUTELY!! She loves it! We got one of the pink curtain sets to go with it, so, the top is the bed and underneath is the Fort. She just loves it. Especially the slide. Up and down for hours One thing. If you are buying the curtains for the bed, check the manufacturer website as well. has a couple of the options for sale, but, the mfg has many more curtain sets available on their website.

    Not quite what I expected

I already knew that a frame would not be the best quality and wasnt surprised by the cheap frame. My daughter loves her bed though. she has bumped herself plenty when playing/using her bed. She doesnt complain. I figure well have the bed for a couple years before she out grows it or it becomes unsturdy. The bed takes up lots of space and the ladder and slide are NOT interchangeable so it would be wise to take into account measurements and room arrangement before buying. Side note the curtain sets for the bed frame sold seperately are of very cheap material and tear easily!! Ok ok

    Perfect for 5 y/o daughter

Very nice.My daughter loves her new bed, and its the perect size loft style bed. Assembly took about 90 minutes by myself, only trouble was the slide (hard to do by yourself but doable) I bought this bed purely off others reviews, and I would highly recommend this bed to anyone

Fun but problematic if you move often

Would definitely buy again. I purchased this bed last March intending to give it to my son for his 4th birthday in November. We have been moving frequently for my husbands work, so the bed kind of got set aside and never put together (dont worry, my son did get plenty of alternative b/day gifts). Well, it has come to the point that he just cannot fit on his toddler mattress any longer, so against our better judgment we put the bed together in a house we know well be moving from within 6 months or less. Construction was a bit of a hassle, with the slide not fitting in perfectly and a lot of physical force being necessary. It took two adults to put the bed together and three when it came to the slide, because we didnt do it exactly in order so someone small (myself) had to squeeze under the end and fit the final screws. The bed is adorable and my son has already had fun in the tent although he cant sleep in it until his mattress comes. It seems sturdy enough, but it will not fit through a doorway assembled. Even removing the slide, you cannot fit it through without completely disassembling it. For a family that moves, this is troubling. Im also concerned about the longevity of the screws/the possibility of stripping if we must dis/reassemble too many times. All that being said, I would recommend it. I purchased from a different store that claims to help you save money and live better.and in the case of this bed that was very true as the exact same bed WITH included curtains is available for 210. Great fun for kids and perfect height for my 4.5 year old. The slide does take up quite a bit of space but I was surprised by how much room was left in my sons room that I would not consider to be large. EDIT: My sons been sleeping in the bed for almost 3 months now and were still happy with the quality. I lay in the bed with him to read a bedtime story and often end up falling asleep for an hour or so and it seems to be very sturdy. Great height for my son who is almost 5. EDIT: My son used the bed for a full year with absolutely no complaints. I still lay with him every night for a bedtime story and all seems sturdy. The bed will be put back together tomorrow in our new home. Will update if something goes wrong the second time around, but I dont anticipate it.

Nice to know that you can still get your moneys worth!!!

Easy to assemble. Very sturdy. We have a 2, 4, and a 6 year old and they all love this bed!!! We bought both the boy bed and the girl version as well. They are very sturdy and so are the slides. Its not too tall for the little ones and its just the right size for the older ones!!! They were easy enough to put together and we love them!!!!!!

    great, inexpensive purchase

Buy it again. My son was going through a phase where he wouldnt sleep in his own bed and was in mine every night. He helped me pick this bed out and promised if I got, hed sleep in his own room again. Sure enough, hes in love with it. He tells everyone about his slide bed and how cool it is. Hes only 3 so I was a little concerned with the height, but I bought a 6 mattress as recommended and its been perfect. I keep pillows on the floor under the loft for peace of mind, but the railing really does the trick and hes an active sleeper. You cant beat the 200 price tag either. I liked this model without the curtains because the stock curtain colors for the bed clashed with his room. I easily made my own and Im not at all crafty. It really looks adorable and its SO MUCH FUN for him! Very pleased.

    Daughters big girl bed!

Thanks. Ordered this for my five year old daughter and she LOVES it! It is wobbly when you climb up the ladder but seems to be sturdy enough. The slide takes up more room than I expected but there is significant storage space available under the bed. The attached tent is a big hit as well (allows for hours of play).

    Nice Bed For Kids

Bless your hearts. I bought this bed for my 3/year old and she really enjoys it. That, I guess, is ultimately one of the best things I can say about the bed. Some things I noticed: /It claims to have a 225 lb weight limit (I, at 200 lbs, climbed in and it held me just fine) /It is a little bit wobbly when my child climbs up the ladder // barely noticeable but I would prefer to be absolutely rock/solid /I used a 8 mattress in the bed. The instructions call for a 6 mattress. The 8 mattress works just fine except for the fact that I wish the guardrails were now an inch or two taller as they only extend 2/3 above the mattress. /The slide takes up quite a bit of room, more so than I expected /When assembled (even if the slide is off), it wont fit through a standard bed room door /Good storage space under the bed which helps mitigate the amount of space it takes up All in all, a nice childrens bed especially if you can find it on sale or during a lightning deal. Update on 1/7/15: Approximately 2 years later and the bed is still holding up well. No broken slats or other deformations to note and it is still relatively quiet (i.e. I dont hear my child rolling around in the bed, which is something she does often). All/in/all, Im still happy about the purchase.
