The boards to hold up the mattress are turned on their side adding strength to them. Be careful with a foam mattress. Anyone over 45 lbs contains enough density causing the mattress to melt/squish/collapse between the slats. Make sure you double check the height.
Weve had our bed built for a couple of months now and so far its great! My husband has even climbed up for a cuddle and the bed feels safe and secure still. Not so bad.

The only down fall is that it took me and my husband 2 hours to put together because the inductions were not step by step. Once it was complete, my son hopped right on up! thanks great product.
