BOSSES, if you are buying this for your office, You should be a great person and buy them something more comfy that they wont wanna leave work. lolol
Comfortable chair. Fairly easy to put together (approx. 20 min.) The only small challenge is aligning the screws with the screw holes. I used a small, hand held battery power screw driver which made the assembly much easier and faster. Just start the screw by hand and then I used the
power screw driver on low power.
Also when using the tilt knob you need to follow the golden rule of LEFTY/LOSIE - RIGHTY/TIGHTY (instructions say turn the knob
clockwise which does not work)
This chair is decently made, and more comfortable than I though it would be. For the price I recommend, but for someone sitting in it all day I would recommend something higher quality.
Ive tended to be very happy with my purchases from Basics. The quality of their items tend to be good, and their prices fairly low. This chair is no exception. It seems very sturdy and the materials used seem to be pretty tough. I dont think any plastic components are going to break. Furthermore, the arm-rests seem to be metal reinforced, which is good as they hold up the back of the chair. My one compliant is that the way you have to assemble it, as per the instructions, involves scraping the back against the arm-rests, marring up the plastic, which although is decent plastic, does scrape fairly easily. So basically, you get a brand new chair and immediately leave ugly marks in it.
I will say my roommate of the past two years had a very similar chair, although a different brand, and the arm-rests did break on his. Im not sure if they were metal re-enforced or not. Also, the caps on his that covered the Allens-head screws always came off. I didnt even bother putting them on my chair.
Overall, Im happy with this chair, and its a good price, I just wish putting it together didnt involve scraping the sides against the arm-rest.
Great chair and it makes even better the fact that its not too pricey. Easy to assemble (less than 30 minutes) with a very clear manual included. Would buy again for sure.
