Update:
I came to terms with 2 and 3 from my initial review, so I was willing to live it b/c the overall goal is dryness.
However, after using them for three hours in no more than shin/deep water and a few slaps from the oceans waves, my socks were damp at the toes and my sweat pants were damp at the thighs, which was very disappointing so I am sadly returning the waders and will continue to seek an affordable pair that will not break the bank and yet keep me dry. Downgrading my overall rating to 2 stars.
This is my initial review. Should I decide to keep and use them, I will provide an updated review.
1) Price was right based on my needs and intended frequency of use.
2) Disappointed and bewildered why the drawstring for the chest would be on the outside of the wader; this leaves the string dangling outside and in front of the chest pocket (more on that next). Putting the cord to the inside of the wader doesnt work as the black locking device sits atop the wader/ very strange and awkward design.
3) The one and only pocket on these waders, which is on the outside, doesnt even come with a zipper or Velcro to ensure nothing falls out and an opportunity to stay dry. This pocket BELONGS on the inside of the chest wader IMO. Taking this a step further; an outside chest pocket with zipper or Velcro and one on the inside would have been perfect.
4) The crotch area is a bit tight as another reviewer stated, but like him I had a little leeway to adjust the shoulder straps, which provided more comfort.
The best I can give this wader upon initial examination is a 3.
Doesnt have the lip on back of boots to help take off. Hate that part of it. Tight in croch area even with it loosen all the way. 510 185lbs size 10 is what I ordered.
Ok.first review on . Bought these back in September for the fall run out in Montauk NY. First time out they worked as they should. They breath good enough. Put my own quick release belt on them, it is a little wider than the one provided. First trip up under the light there was a little sketchy. Problem was they have no traction on slippery rocks. Did a little research and bought the Kold Kutter studs for ice racing. 3/8 size. Screwed 17 of these into the bottom of the boot. Worked like a charm. Really good traction and stability. Got hammered by a couple waves over 5 trips so far. Only water I got in was when I didnt put on the dry top. No leaking yet from them. I ordered a mens size 9. I normally wear a wide 10. These fit good. You can get two pairs of medium weight socks in them and they fit well. One word of cautionmake sure to wear a pair of sweat pants or long johns. Where the boot ( rubber ) meets the breathable material they could really rub you raw. For the priceI think a good deal. 6 outings in extremely difficult conditions ( sliding down rocks and such) they have held up well. Only reason Im not giving them five stars.havent fished them in HOT weather yet. They still have to be better than the all rubber ones. You cook in those.

They fit well ( Im 62) and with a pair of sweat pants kept me comfortable as I worked on my boat house this fall.
