The dimensions are perfect and it was very easy to assemble

The dimensions are perfect and it was very easy to assemble. It took less than a half hour from the time it arrived to when it was completely assembled and ready to use. It's a little darker than I had hoped but it is chocolate cherry and is very attractive.

Beautiful and Great Quality at a Great Price

I bought 2 of these tables as end tables on either side of my couch. There were super easy to assemble, and I cannot believe how rich the wood looks. These tables are very sturdy and made of real wood. I was looking for tables with a narrow profile and these tables are perfect. The quality exceeded my expectations. Great buy for quality, beauty and price. Win-Win-Win

    Rolls Royce

This table is as breathtakingly beautiful as the other reviewers describe. If possible, I would evaluate this at 4-1/2 stars. The reasons have nothing to do with the unmistakable quality and craftsmanship of the table. The high polish of the finish, wood grain on the underside, and the smooth slide open and barely discernible click on closing the drawers - like a luxury automobile door closing - make this a superb piece. The downside is in the assembly. (A clue can be found in that the matching end table comes with the option of having it assembled in your home at $60, and about one hour of assembly time.) The box is very heavy. If you are a petite female (as I am) or a man of small stature, it would help to have another pair of hands. And eyes. The tiny Philips wrench often slipped from the screws. (It might also help to be ambidextrous as some of the screws are on the opposite side and a contortion of torso and arms is required.) A bright light to shine in the corners would also be helpful. Still, when it is completed, you will have a sense of satisfaction and gaze in quiet admiration at this beautiful table. Even with the downside, I have already ordered companion pieces.

Great End Table For Small Spaces!

Excellent product! We were looking for a small end table, as we are currently living in a tiny condo and this table was the prefect size. One of the few tables I found that is made of 100% solid wood, this table could even be refinished in the future, if you ever wanted, or needed too. It was also very easy to assemble, took less than ten minutes and is VERY sturdy. As some of the other reviewers mentioned, the color is darker than it appears in the pictures, more of a dark espresso color with very faint red undertones, which I prefer anyway. Overall this table is very sturdy, well finished and great looking! We will definitely be buying additional pieces from this collection in the future.

Looks like it will be sturdy enough but not 5 stars

It was exactly what I wanted. A dark wood hardwood table that was small. So why did I not give it five stars Minor nicks in wood that were stained over and hardware was not squared up to the wood. Looks like it will be sturdy enough but not 5 stars. I think it was priced right and I think it will be fine and I am happy with my selection.

    No regrets!

I ordered the coffee table to match and the whole set has really dressed up the room. They look higher end than they are. The tables are exactly as described. I am so glad I bought these.

    Watch the drawer assembly!

Purchased 2 of these thru a big box store while on sale online. Great little tables. They are quite sturdy when assembled. Could be used as a seat. The finish is a very thin laminate so be careful with bumps and dings. However, since it is black, a Sharpie marker takes care of it. I am 67 yrs old with significant arthritis and I assembled this myself. Once you have identified the various pieces, it assembles quickly. Post-it notes help! I did the main case first and then the drawers. One thing I did differently was to use yellow wood glue for the wooden dowels and along any edge that butted against another such as top/sides and shelf/side, etc. I also put some into the big holes that the screw lock thingees went into. This will prevent loosening at a later time. This table can be used without the drawers if you like shelves. Very attractive with or without the drawers. Assembling the drawers was fairly easy except for one tiny thing. Once you have the 2 sides attached to the front, you cannot slide the bottom into place. You must put the bottom into place when you have one side attached to the front and then place the other side and tighten the screws. Apparently, esthetics came into play as the cut for the bottom does not go thru the laminate. OK, I can handle that. It was a bit messy for me to undo one of the sides because of the glue but that's what a wet rag is for. All in all, once I had a picture in my mind as to what went where, it was quite easy and today I tackle the second one. Can't do 2 in one day. Interfered with my nap! Note: all my relatives know not to try and dismantle any furniture I've assembled. Glue, glue and more glue! I would recommend the use of a glass top because the laminate is so thin. If moisture gets under it, I'm sure the underlying wood fiber would swell like crazy. Otherwise it is great chair-side storage for my recliners. Holds lots of stuff I can't possibly live without and don't want to climb out of my recliner to hunt down.
